My wife, our young daughter, and I spent five days earlier this month on Paradise Island. On our last night in town we tried out Marina Pizza at Marina Village. Located on Atlantis property, Marina Pizza sits right on the water where some of the world's most spectacular yahts are docked. There are a lot of shops and restaurants in Marina Village, so it's a fun, high-energy spot and a great place to people watch.
Due to the location, prices are very high: we paid $53 (+ gratuity) for two medium pizzas and two drinks. There is no seating inside the restaurant, so we grabbed an outdoor table. On the positive side, the restaurant was cheaper than most other restaurants at Marina Village and our food was good (not great) and very hot (which I loved). On the down side, they forgot to make my pizza, so after sitting outside for 10+ minutes, I went inside to inquire about my food. The guy asked me to show him my receipt, then sheepishly admitted they had forgotten about my pizza. He never apologized, but he did make it a large pizza (rather than the medium I ordered) at no extra cost.
For those who've had incredible pizza in NY and Chicago, this will not even begin to compare. However, for an overpriced pizza joint in the Bahamas, I thought the pizza was serviceable and the ingredients were definitely fresh. They also have a decent selection of pasta and salads and a few limited sushi options.
They do not have servers, so you do wait in line and order at the counter. The line moved fairly quickly, although due to the snafu with my order my wife had nearly finished her dinner before my pizza was ready.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced dinner on P.I., you could do a lot worse than going to Marina Pizza. I'm giving it four stars, but it's really more like 3.5. It's better than average (3 stars), but not quite 4 stars (very good). C'mon, TripAdvisor. What about expanding the scale from 1-10? We need some leeway between average and very good (not a C, but not a B+ either). Marina Pizza gets a solid "B", all things considered.
