This is a beautiful resort, similar to the finest in Las Vegas! My wife and daughter loved all the different things to do; but my elderly mother had difficulty making her way around the sprawling property. The service is fine, particularly in the bars, for breakfast! However, with a mandatory service charge on everything, you would think that a gratuity would be included – it is not! The hotel employees expect a tip; and, they largely deserve it. However, with the already-astronomically high prices, I just did not feel it was worth another 15% to add to the bill. Atlantis should pay its employees out of the service charge, not just add to the price! In addition to the room rate, there are surcharges for electricity; and, a per-day, per-guest charge for maid service. All the "nickel-and-diming" is a shame because the place is beautiful, but I suggest you not waste your money.

I just got back from Atlantis from my honeymoon with my wife....We thought it was really impressive!! The food was terrffic and the service was good on some aspects. The scenery was great with all the palm trees.....Loved all of the aquariums with the marine life. I have never seen anything like it. Its a definte must at least one time in your life!!!!!!

Driving up to the atlantis I was very excited, the hotel was very imposing and impressive looking, it all went downhill however from there! It is more of an american theme park than a hotel and lacks any bahamian or caribbean feel. The aqaurium is about the only thing worth visiting. Whilst the facilities are impressive they come at a cost, an average bottle of pinot grigio will set you back $60 in one of the hotel restaurants!! The decor in the coral wing and rooms is dated and whilst we were staying there was a funny damp smell in the foyet furthermore the hotel staff were rude and ignorant and the hotel overall is very overated, I wouldn't recommend it.

Don't waste your $$$. Poor food. Poor rooms. Poor service. Outrageously expensive. Pools were crowded. And property was not upkept and maintained well. Felt cheated.
