Beach tower and coral tower is getting a little run down and showing it's age. Drinks are expensive at the pool and in the bars. However it's a wonderful resort with so much to see and do. I've been coming here for years and still love the place.

We really enjoyed our visit to Atlantis in Bahamas and would definitely recommend this place to anyone . We are from Toronto area and we booked our vacation through Westjet . By booking with Westjet , we new our prices were all included in the package . No surprises . No extra charges . When checking out on the last day the only bill charged to our cards were food and gifts we had signed for each day and retained receipts . The resort has changed their policy , at least for Westjet customers as in free wifi during our stay and 2 coupons a day for free 20 oz bottles of water of which can be redeemed at any food court or bars . A nice treat . Don't drink the two large bottles of water in your room as they are not free . We were two party's and requested adjoining rooms of which the hotel gladly provided us with . Loved the views from rooms and really enjoyed the sun rises in the mornings . Used their coffee machines supplied in our rooms each morning with the free Starbucks packets of coffee . We bought a couple of gallon jugs of water at the local grocery store in the marine village for our coffee in our rooms . $2.50 a jug . The fridges in our rooms barely worked so we brought with us large insulated collapsable coolers of which we kept filled with ice everyday and filled with beer and wine and water . We bought the beer and wine at the local liquor store in the marine village . Prices were a little more then we pay in Ontario but reasonable . We also brought with us small insulated type lunch bags to keep cold cans of beer and wine poured in metal type canisters with screw on tops . All day long no matter where we were , we always had our cold drinks with us , on the beach , around the pool or even walking around the marine village . One evening the six of us sat outside the pizza place at the marina and drank some of our beer and wine while we ate boughten pizza
. Lots of walking so be prepared and have good shoes . Enjoyed the food at the pool sides each day and we ate at Carmine's and Virgil's . Very good restaurants . The day lunches at the pool sides are comparable to eating at Canada's Wonderland with prices . Budget for this trip and just go . Tip the maid each day and she may keep you supplied with coffee packets and paper coffee cups each day as our maid certainly did . Keep your large cooler bag in the bathtub as it may leak or drip water and will have a place to drain .

I visited Atlantis last week with my children - ages 6 and 13 years. I am very disappointed in my experiences at the pools and the Rapid Ride. I witnessed several lifeguards sleeping at their stations. Only one female lifeguard really stood out to me - she was dancing in her chair to the music at the Blu Pool and watching the children intently. If you are bringing small children to this resort PLEASE do not take your eyes off of them. Lord knows how long it would take these lifeguards to notice something was wrong.

We went for the Christmas holiday. The property is beautiful, most of the staff is very friendly. We loved all the attractions on the property. Having to pay a 15% tip for fast food is annoying. Our least favourite place to eat was Virgil's BBQ. The food wasn't worth the price, even the dessert was bad. It was so bad we didn't even ask for a doggy bag. Murray's Deli was great for breakfast. The restaurants by the marina were also very good.
The maid comes into the rooms often so if you don't want the maid coming in at 9:00pm, to ask if you want towels, put out the do not disturb sign.
We had the "Terrace view" which is actually a view of the roof. Calling it a Terrace view is deceiving and causes a huge disappointment (note to resort: STOP calling it a "Terrace View" and you won't get so many complaints). But if you came for the resort attractions who cares about the rooms view. Because we came with our kids we needed connecting rooms, which we were not able to get. The best they could do was 2 rooms next to each other - we made it work.
If you walk from one attraction to another I recommend you take the water side trail. It's faster and you avoid the sales traps in the buildings.
They allow smoking in the Casino, which bothered us so we stayed out of the Casino.
My family enjoyed the river ride, the water slides and the Marine Habitat exhibits. My kids did the swim with the Dolphins, which they enjoyed very much.
It is very expensive but there's lots to do and see, we enjoyed ourselves and will very likely return, soon.

Room Tip: If you're going for the attractions go for the cheaper room, the roof view aka "Terrace Vie...

By the time they charge you for the tip and total VAT, you end up spending way more than you plan on, plus they seem to make intentional billing errors that you have to call repeatedly to get corrected. On top of that, tonight three of the four restaurants on our "value plan" were closed. It is just not worth it.

We went earlier this month for Easter & Spring Break family vacation for 7 days and the trip was AWFUL from the first moment we arrived at the airport.... 1)The Private Shuttle we ordered thru the Atlantis never showed up... 2) Arrived at the Atlantis Beach Towers after booking & Re-confirming twice with notes on reservation that we needed 2-connecting rooms do to traveling with small children. Yet NONE available, So each parents had to sleep in Separate rooms for security with the kids... 3) At the pools they were out of towels for 2 hours, towel worker said it was because of the over 2000 cruise ship day guests...(Since the resort is Sold out, and you add 2000 more cruise line day guests what do you think will happen) 4) Contacted the Executive Manager on duty from the towel hut during the towel problems, he said he was sorry and would let his manger in that area know... Also during my phone conversation with the Manager I told him about all the MOLD & Rusted Fixtures in our 2 rooms and even sent him photos later that evening... And also about all the other problems with the Shuttle, Connecting Rooms & having to call security 2 times about the people above us throwing beer cans off their balcony (so they could watch them explode onto the roof top) For all this we were offered $300.00 room credit... We paid over $12,000.00 for a 6 night special family vacation & I can truly say it was the WORST vacation I have ever been on !! The Atlantis Resort use to be our favorite resort and we have recommended it hundreds of times, but the overall Quality & Guest Service is NOT now what you expect from a Former first class hotel !

My dad and I won this trip and we were only here for 3 days. Well, it was awful. Coral towers was a crap hole and everything is run down. The food is completel crap! Everything here is over priced and you're getting screwed everywhere you go! I do not recommend this vacation for anyone. Cancun Mexico was a better vacation than this crap hole, nothing but bad reviews from this expirence. Won't be back.
