“Good but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Royal towers proximity to pools and attractions were very convent. The only thing making this a 3-star and not a 4-star review is that one day the water was out in the entire building meaning we could not shower before dinner. Also the guest service was lack luster, had to call more than once to get things delivered to the room, and one day our room was not made up; had to call three times to get it done (stayed at Atlantis Dubai royal towers in 2010 and the service as top notch!). Bottom line, will likely stay at the Atlantis again for all the dining and abundance of amenities but will try another tower (perhaps the Cove). Be prepared to spend when you stay here though, everything costs a fortune!

About the hotel I can say one thing - just a good hotel. Beach Tower has a great beach on it's side. The rooms are like a regular hotel, probably the ocean view is better but honestly we didn't care for the super duper fancy hotel, because we wanted to visit the beach, park and experience Paradise Island and more. They have coffee pot in room, hair dryer, fridge. We did buy bottled water in local store on the way from the airport to the resort after reading all the reviews before we went on vacation. The resort is cashless, so either charge to the room or on credit card. We also took a ferry to the Nassau ($8 per person both ways) and there is a grocery store that has slightly higher prices than in Texas. There you can also visit Senor Frog restaurant - totally awesome place to eat, drink, dance - happy hour while they are open. Kid friendly, just really cool place to go. On Paradise Island, they have plenty of pools, palm trees, sandy beach, pretty fish swimming in the ocean with you. Our 7 yo and 4 yo got to see plenty of fish underwater while we were on the beach. Prices at the resort restaurants are pretty high for our rate. We went for dinner in Seagrapes Restaurant in Beach towers and buffet dinner turned out to be $144 for two adults and two kids. And the buffet is nothing special. They have a Pizzeria in the Marina Village and their 18 inch pizza is $32, was more than enough for us. They have other restaurants in the Marina Village that were decently priced. They have wifi, but it is about $22 per day, YES it is pricey, however it helped to actually enjoy the vacation rather than being stuck in the phone or online. In general we loved Paradise Island. :)

Room Tip: Ocean view might be better, but we were out mostly all day so didn't care much for that.

The property is geared for mass production, and for families with kids that can enjoy the various parks etc. For business travelers, in my opinion, it's not very friendly.

I stayed at the Cove and when I checked in my room was partially clean, there was garbage in the room and there were used towels rolled up and sitting in the bath tub. When I complained to management it was like "oh sorry, would you like to move to another room?" as I was leaving for a meeting I opted to stay and they came when I was out and did a better job at cleaning, however nothing was done to show that they really cared.

I won't be returning there in the near future.

Room Tip: Higher floors command a lovelier view.

Pull yourself off the beach for a first class spa experience. I had the body polish, massage, facial package and was able to use a 30% discount on-line special. The spa is beautiful, the staff are talented and friendly. The services are expensive, but worth it!!!

Huge place , plenty to do outside in the pools and marina village is super to walk round at night. Casino is fun , rooms are clean but nothing special , good choice of restaurants but the food is pretty average for the prices. Service is good , staff are friendly and it is a short ride to Bay St. Good spot but it's not quite the place the adverts lead you to believe 7/10 if I was giving it a mark .

We visited here as part of a shore excursion from our recent Bahamas cruise. We were taken to the location by shuttle bus and the driver slowed down once inside the gated entrance to point out the local flora and fauna within the property, including a "meet and greet" we could purchase to interact with their resident dolphins. I looked up this information online and it was $199 more per person. I'll just admire them from afar. The hotel property is like a movie set, and I can see why the likes of Oprah, Magic and the beloved late Michael Jackson booked suites there for weeks at a time. We were told that MJ. booked the entire "arch" of the building, 3500 sq. ft., for $2500 per night for two weeks. I could see him doing that. Anyway, this property is like a private tropical island, within an island, and can undertand why people love it. I gave it a three rating because the surroundings, once off of the large, lush, protected property, aren't that pretty, and because you don't have to fly to Bahamas to have this kind of experience.

Room Tip: If you decide to come here, try to get a room facing the water.
