The hotel was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed in unit #206, and enjoyed having the extra room. Once the waves died down after the hurricane, the beach was lots of fun. The restaurant was outstanding- wonderful food and fun staff.

Negatives about the trip- each taxi ride across the bridge into Nassau was a minimum $24, without tip. There's not a lot to do at the hotel, so every day we went over at least once. It's more expensive to Arawak (locally, the fish fry), and all shopping is in Nassau. ATM machines are almost non-existent on Paradise, so take cash with you. We ordered groceries to be delivered, paid for them online days before we went, but they never delivered them. They kept calling to push delivery back until we finally, the end of our 2nd day, just got a taxi to take us to buy our own. All in all, if I went again I'd stay at the British Colonial Hilton because of location.

The hotel was nice, the staff great, but unless you're looking to just relax and not do too much, it can be inconvenient.

Stayed for a brief 2 night stay at Sunrise Villas (#205) on the way to other Caribbean islands. Pretty nice suite set up like a small apartment. Very clean, comfortable and roomy. The property is on the less hectic part of the island only a short walk from Atlantis. In the middle of our second night, the water heater in the unit directly above us burst and began leaking large amounts of water into our room. Unfortunately, it took a long time to contact staff as the emergency numbers listed on the front office were outdated. Finally located a maintenance man on premise who managed to contact a responsible person. Our room was flooded, so we had to pack up and move to another suite. The staff put us into a side room attached to the largest unit on the property, more like a big house with 4 or 5 bedrooms overlooking the beach. Much nicer room but we were there only a few hours before going to the airport. Although we did not ask or make a big issue about the ordeal, in hindsight it would have been thoughtful if the hotel offered a discount or some other kind of relief for our troubles (especially at $225 per night). But the property is quite nice and is probably the best option if you do not want to stay at mega Atlantis.

This hotel has the most beautiful beach just steps away. The rooms have everything you need...a stocked kitchen, separate bedroom, sitting area, and private patio. The hotel has a restaurant with very good food...the ribs and quesadillas were delicious. Carla at the check-in counter was so friendly, sweet, and helpful. We learned so much about the area from her. She arranged taxis for us when we wanted to go to Nassau, as well. We were even able to check in a little bit early which helped with enjoying the beach longer that day. The beach, by the way, has a great view of the Atlantis resorts and is less crowded behind the Sunrise Beach Club. We will definitely stay at this hotel in the future. My Husband & I spent 5 nights at Sunrise Beach Club & Villas (7/18-7/23). Carla helped us book our room and had our taxi driver waiting for us as soon as we arrived. She was friendly and helpful. Our driver (Bowe) took us to the local grocery in Nassau where we were able to get what we needed for our stay. We rented a one bedroom villa (garden side) which was clean, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed .
Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed our bartenders Kelsey, Malady & Leo and the groundskeeper Jackson.
The pool was nice, never crowded & right next to Violas and our unit. No long walks to beach or pool. No masses of people to contend with daily. Very Fun & enjoyable! We certainly would go back and hope to again next year!
