“Great value - great time!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

My family of four (5 and 7 year old kids plus parents) spent 6 nights at the Comfort Suites. We were there March 13th through the 19th. The rooms were big, clean, and well maintained. The full access to Atlantis is huge! We got up every morning and ate breakfast. This is a HUGE deal. The #1 complaint we have about this trip is the price of the food. The free breakfast was a huge money saver. Bonus: fill your water bottles up in the free breakfast area and take them with you to Atlantis.

Our fridge worked great. We requested a microwave and they brought it in a few minutes. I had packed a bunch of snacks but we also went to paradise village and bought more. Again - pricey. A box of Nilla wafers are $9.95! But still worth it. We brought along ziplocks, so I was able to take cheezits, Nillas, fig newtons, granola bars, pop tarts, etc. with us to Atlantis. This was a saver for my kids. I also packed crystal light flavor packs to flavor the water. Atlantis only has soda basically - no punch or lemonade for the refillable cups. My kids don't drink soda. I found out after we hit the paradise valley grocery store - that you can actually get soda, gallon of water, etc. at the nearby drug store and souvenir shops for cheaper (gallon water $2 or can of soda $1 - you will pay $4-$9 other places). We bought a gallon of water and kept in our room for the evenings and mornings.

At atlantis - some good deals on food cannot be found at the sit down restaurants we found. Shark Bites Express (not the sit down) has some good lunch/dinner combo - $10 for 8-10 piece chix nuggets, big fries, cookie and refillable drink. This was plenty and my kids shared it easily with some leftover. The ala cart place next to the kiddie pool also had some pressed pizza, quesidilla, sandwiches for $6-$7 which was a good deal. You could get a chix wrap combo for $10 at the poolside place too. All seem like good values there. The Marina Village Pizza was only OK, but the kids liked the pasta. The pizza was fair, but huge pieces for $6.50/slice.

You can keep the refillable cups you get from lunch and use them the next day. The alcoholic drinks are going to run about $10/piece. They are large, but can add up quickly.

Dinner was more of a struggle. We ventured to the fish fry and it was a total waste. $43 for the cab - $80 for the food and that was only for 2 meals because me/hubby shared as did my kids. Total waste of money - horrible service, very slow service, and the food wasn't that great.

Ben and Jerry's was great and we hit it daily. US prices. Quizos was actually one of our favorite meals in the evening. Virgils BBQ was great -but OMG - they serve family style and it was a lot of food and pricey. It was good, though. We were able to order in 1/2 sizes which helped, but still couldn't eat half of it. The Marina Village has a good restaurant - Bimini Road or something - was very good. Good service. We didn't hit the others.

Atlantis was a great combo for us traveling as a family. It felt very safe. The kids loved the pools, the slides, the kiddie area, the current river, jungle slide and serpent slide. Then we could go to the beach and hang there for a while.

Get there by 9:30 and get seats for the day. You get complimentary towels throughout the day which is great. You have to go to Royal Towers every day to get your bracelet to get into Atlantis. You basically have to walk through the casino and its smokey - YUK. The aquariams were awesome. Everything was really clean and the staff was nice. You have signing privilages at ATlantis with your pink Comfort Suite cards.

I would definitely stay at the Comfort Suites again. It was a great deal and very nice. We literally walked down the stairs and crossed the street to Atlantis everyday. We stayed at Atlantis every day - all day - until after 5:30 or 6:00. It was a great combo for us as a family - there was plenty for the kids to do and go combo with the beach/pools/etc. If it was just my husband and I traveling sans kids - we would probably find stay another place - all inclusive, etc. However, I would definitely go back here but only with my kids in tow. Really good family spot.

The temperatures were cooler some nights - wished I had packed more cover ups/sweaters and pants/capris. Luckily, we had our kids fleece jackets since we left winter weather at home.

Stayed at Comfort Suites because we were looking for a place to stay during the March Break. There's nothing that I can say that's negative about this place. We were greeted by friendly check-in staff and immediately given our room keys and they offered to provide us with anything that we needed. Very friendly and welcoming staff as we walked through the hallways as well. Walking through the exterior of the property, things were meticulously maintained - lawns neatly trimmed, pool clean, bar and eating area completely clean.

The hotel room itself was somewhat basic but it contained everything we needed for the 5-6 hours we spent in it each night. If you're not planning on spending a whole lot of time in the hotel itself, its not so bad. If you're looking for something modern and luxurious, it might not be the place for you. We typically go to more modern hotels, but knew we werent going to spend hours in the room for this trip. So it worked out well.

The free breakfast in the morning was excellent - eggs, sausages, waffles, toast, cereals, fresh fruit, milk, tea, coffee, juices, bagels, muffins, etc. They had quite a lot. It was the perfect thing for people like us travelling with children. Beats having to go out of the hotel area for breakfast in the morning. I would highly recommend staying here for that alone.

The distance to Atlantis was not that far off - a 5 minute walk across the street. Our room was on the far end (not close to Atlantis). We were on the 400 level floor and the hallways were super quiet. No noises, nothing to disturb us. I think it's the 200 level where you might get a bit of traffic from people constantly walking through the hallways to get to their rooms. Some of the 200 level floors are closer to Atlantis, but you'll get the noise to go with that convenience.

We did spend one afternoon sitting near the pool/bar area. Ordered a Bahama Mama and Pina Colada from the bartender and he was excellent. Quickly served us our drinks and made special non-alcohol versions for the kids. Very friendly staff again.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Very close and convenient and friendly staff.

What else can be said. Stayed here on vacation in 2004 for 4 days with mom. A great hotel, quiet, average rooms, great views & the bonus: Atlantis activities are included. It's just a short walk away. Easy taxi rides across the bridge. Easy access to ports for excursions. I would definitely recommend staying. Watch out for the green lizards...it's the islands!

We stayed in this hotel in March 2013. That was a great travel deal! We have nothing big to complain about. Rooms are big and clean. We had full access to Atlantis, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi. And at the end of the days we returned to this quite place without smoke and noise. It was occasional hot water situation but nothing major. One time we did not shut the room door completely so Security knocked right in and informed us that the door is open. The hotel corridors are pretty long but we like to walk. I would recommend stay here to save money and have very comfortable room.

We just got back from our vacation in this hotel. I read the tripadvisor reviews before going including a couple which mentioned dingy rooms and moldy smells and noise. There were two portions of the hotel that we walked through that had a moldy smell in the hallway. One is on the ground floor leading between the pool and the Atlantis exit/entrance, the other is in the hallway to the left of the front desk (I actuallly don't think there are any rooms in this hall - just offices). But this is a pretty big hotel. I would agree with posters who recommend avoiding the hallway used by people to get to Atlantis.

Overall I was pleased with our stay at this hotel. The staff were great. The bartenders at the pool bar are fun and they make the best pina colada on the island. The rooms and common areas of the hotel are very clean and well kept.

We stayed in rooms 277 and 279. The view was nothing to write home about (a service entrance and another wing of the hotel) but the rooms were large with a separate sitting area, they were clean (no smell) and quiet. I am pretty sure these rooms had not been recently updated so the updated rooms must be nicer. But these rooms were great. The beds were very comfortable for sleeping. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

We took two rooms, one adjoinging for our 3 kids. We asked for a pool view, but were told there are no adjoining rooms in this area. Getting a higher floor may give you a better view. Alternatively you could get a room on the other side of this wing which would give you a view onto the entrance and road - you may have a little more noise but it is a pretty quiet road.

There is free breakfast daily which includes hot dishes like sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs. We ate there every morning. It's handy. The access to Atlantis is great. It was a hike to get a bracelet, but it was on the way to the rides so you have to walk that way anyway, I don't really see this as an issue. Everyone has to have a bracelet, even Atlantis guests although they can get theirs from any towel hut by showing a room key. The Comfort Suites is probably closer to parts of the Atlantis resort than some of the Atlantis hotels.

Beach access is either through the Atlantis OR about a 10 minute walk to a public beach access next to the RIU hotel or I think you can get through at Viola's Bar & Grill. Comfort Suites is very close to restaurants and shops at Marina Village of Atlantis, also close to a strip plaza with Anthony's Restaurant and some shops and banks. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Ferry Terminal which is where you would catch your excursions as well as the water taxi into Nassau.

Room Tip: Avoid hall between pool and Atlantis door.

This hotel was amazing! The hotel was modern and clean! It had everything we wanted. A pool with a swim up bar. A view. A delicious restaurant on site. Walking Distance to The Marina and to The Atlantis and to town. Getting a taxi was easy breezy to go into Nausau. We received a first class hotel and if was VERY affordable!!

Room Tip: Our room faced out toward the pool!! It was soo great !!!

We stayed during march break and our family of 5 had a great time. If you have 5 people you will need to book two rooms. This worked well for us. The access to Atlantis was great and included in the cost. We paid the housekeeping and energy extras for the 3 adults that we had. You pay for those over 16 years of age. This wasn't too bad. The breakfast was good. Perhaps it could have had a little change after a few days like danishes, donuts or different kinds of muffins. We would have liked a little more different fruits like water melon, cantaloupe pineapple instead of just oranges, bananas and apples. Overall the breakfast was okay The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. A nice staff works there.
