“Great Place to stay and play! Location....Amenities....Location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

We just returned from Paradise Island Comfort Suites and absolutely loved it. We cant wait to go back. We stayed 5/10 through 5/14 in room 247. When we checked in the host was pleasant and we were greeted by Rick the bellman. He carried our baggage to our room and introduced us to Letecia our house keeper. We were so impressed at how friendly all the staff was. Letecia kept our room spotless and was never intrusive. Our room was spacious and had a dorm sized fridge and a coffee maker with all the fixings. We were on the lobby level and did not have a view except of the gardens and the convention center at Atlantis but the location was great as we were right at the side door exit to the pool and the Atlantis walkway so everything was perfect. We also had a small patio to which we could take our chairs outside and just sit in the sun right outside our door. At the swim up bar we met Crystal the waitress/bartender who was so funny; she kept us laughing as we ate and ordered from the bar menu. She even suggested drinks and explained the reasons for the names behind them. Try the Conch fritters from the bar and the buffet which is served on Thursday nights. The BBQ was great and there were many more items to choose from. Be prepared to pay a $17 per day (per person) fee for your room, which includes housekeeping, room safe, and electrical surcharge. This is non negotiable and is in the fine print when you book your room. Our only complaint is not actually a complaint but a suggestion. As one of our travelers was in a scooter due to a broken leg she had to drive all the away around the hotel to get to Atlantis and the Marina. She could not take the shortcut as there was no ramp just stairs to go down. It was the same way to be able to get to the pool and restaurant. Please Comfort Inn, build a ramp near the shortcut. There is plenty of room and families won't have to split up for the trip to Atlantis. It can also be hard to get a small scooter up the hill from the Harbor to the hotel as it is straight uphill. The continental breakfast daily was a huge plus and there were even eggs, waffles and sausage served daily with oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, toast and yogurt and juices. We had free WiFi in our room and there were even 2 computers in the lobby for all guest to use free of charge.
There was never a line to get our Atlantis tickets and we found the desk for armband passes located just through the casino doors, in the main lobby of the hotel, on the lower floor next to the aquarium. You can pick up beach towels daily ***FOR FREE*** at locations all around the pools. Our favorite pool was the baths pool as it was not crowded and the music was great. It was also on a much more adult level and over 25 crowd, but it was still hopping. Better table service and closer bathrooms also. The baths pool is also located right on the current ride so we only had to walk 25 feet to get to the river ride. Speaking of river rides, the current is the fast paced version of the lazy river ride. Be prepared to be moved quickly and be soaked as you get the feel of being in rapids in your tube. The lazy river ride is located on the other side of the park and is truly an easy float for the day but after you ride the current you do not want to go back the the lazy river. I had read reviews that the food was expensive at the pool stands but I disagree. You can get a burger with fries and a large drink for $8.00. That is the kids meal but it is the same burger as the adult meal that cost $12 and the only difference is that the adult burger comes with tomato, lettuce, and onion. For the $4 difference I chose to do without. We also took a cooler to Atlantis daily with or snacks and drinks and no one ever said a word to us. I will definitely suggest that you carry a very small cooler(6 - 12pack) so it is not so an eyesore but is enough to supply the family.I carried my cooler as my purse and just stuffed all my ids inside to conserve room and avoid extra bag charges. Also make sure to pack sunscreen and water shoes from home as they are expensive there. We liked this hotel so much we are already planning our next trip and would highly recommend it to others looking for a descent price with all the amenities. While there try the Montague Gardens restaurant. Loved the free pickup and drop off and the food was great. Try the coconut shrimp or fresh grouper.

Room Tip: See my Atlantis and Nassau reviews for more information. We also liked the west wing as it was a lot...

This hotel is not perfect by any means but for the price difference from there to Atlantis it is well worth it. Each day you stay at CSPI you get a free wristband for entrance to Atlantis. It's a great deal. We did have one day the water was off and when it came back in it was kind of dirty at first but it cleared up. Also the breakfast is just OK. :-( but still a good deal for the $$

We stayed at the Comfort Suites in room # 256 from 5/2/12-5/8/12 and overall we were pleased with the hotel. We read plenty of reviews in advance and took everyone's advice requesting a newly renovated room in a quiet area away from the street (West Wing) and the room was quiet with the exception of doors slamming outside starting at 7am. I am not certain if it was the maid service or other guests in the hotel slamming doors. The room was very clean and spacious. My only complaint as others that had reviewed this hotel had stated is the beds were very uncomfortable and the water pressure in the showers stunk and would go from hot to cold and vice versa with no control over it.
The continental breakfast was just as everyone said, average at best but it didn't bother us since we just needed something in our stomachs to start our day... plus it was included with the stay so you can't beat that.
The hotel was perfect for families on a budget...it's inexpensive and they provide a free breakfast (where the Atlantis is more money even for the cheapest tower and you would have to buy breakfast every day). Plus you get full access to the Atlantis so it was well worth it. We traveled with our 2 year old child and the walk to the Royal Towers to get the wristband every day was no big deal, about 10 minutes in total.
If you are looking for somewhere clean and inexpensive to stay while using all of the amenities of the Atlantis the Comfort Suites is the way to go.

Room Tip: West Wing, newly renovated room with a pool view. 200 level takes you directly out to the Atlantis...

Recently stayed here for 4 nights. We booked through Cheap Carribean, which is the first time we used a discount site and weren't sure what to expect. This was our first trip to The Bahamas.

When we arrived, we met Lynmore at the front desk and she was lovely and helpful. We arrived before check-in time and were shown to the hospitality sweet to change, freshen up and prepare our bags for the baggage room until our room was ready.

Our bags were packed away safely and we headed out to Carusoe's by the pool for a bite to eat.
Carusoe's food was average and averagely priced..while the service was not fast, it was a quiet and pleasant place to grab a bite to eat...of course, we were traveling and rushing all morning, so it was good way to shift into vacation gear. :)

Our room was ready after lunch, so we checked in. The room (306), while simple, was clean, comfortable, cool and had everything we needed, with a nice view of the pool. We read previous reviews complaining about the water pressure, but we found it to be fine. We did not have housekeeping come in during our stay, but they were friendly when we passed them in the hallway. Additionally, were were told about the extra charges for housekeeping and electricity before hand, so it was not a surprise.

The pool was quiet and clean and the swim up bar was a nice novelty. Crystal and Paul were great and maintained a mellow, but friendly atmosphere.

Overall, we feel that we got more than our money's worth, not even counting the free access to Atlantis.
Comfortable and great value.

We just got back from a 5 day 4 night stay ath the Comfort Suites. It is very clean, comfortable and spacious. We got a super deal from Cheap Caribbean and could not pass up the opportunity to take advantage of it. It is across the street from Atlantis and all the guests here have all privileges at Atlantis free of charge. It also includes a hot complimentary breakfast in the morning. They served, fruit, cereal hot and cold, pasteries, waffles, bagels, toast, yogurt, eggs, sausage and a variety of beverages. Food is very expensive in the Bahamas so this was a big help cost wise. We would have a big breakfast and take fruit with us for later in the day along with snacks I packed in our suitcases. There is a marina across the street that has several shops and restuarants. Also a small strip mall where there is a grocery store, liquor store and drug store and a resturant are available in close proximity to the hotel.

You can book tours in the hotel lobby. We did a catamaran and snorkeling trip for one half day that was loads of fun. And there is lots to do at Atlantis, It is the Disney World of water adventure. You have to secure an arm band daily at the Royal Towers in order to use the property. The hotel will give you passes when you check in to take with you in order to secure the bands. We put the cards in a ziploc bag to keep them from getting wet. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the area and you have to go through the casino to get to the desk for the bands. The aquarium is to the left of the desk and you can see lots of sea life and divers cleaning the glass.

We enjoyed the ocean, pools at Atlantis and the pool at Comfort Inn as well. It's a great place for the young and old as well. So go forth and enjoy :)

Room Tip: We wanted a ground floor room, and it was very quiet at night. During the day it was a bit noisy bu...

Stayed at the Comfort suites in April 2012. The Hotel was just as advertised, a clean room, a free breakfast, and friendly service. Plus admission to Atlantis.

First the room, it was just as pictured. Almost exactly, which is great, because sometimes pictures were taken long ago and your room is different when you get there. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked well. The one thing though is we could not figure out the lights there are way to many switches and lights in the room. Just picture us running around the room flicking light switches to turn a light on. Not a big deal though.

Second, the free breakfast, it was just what we needed. At home we usually just have a bowl of cereal or toast and fruit and juice and coffee. The breakfast at the comfort suites offered just that. Depending on the time when we went it was a little crowded, but I guess that is to be expected because every one wants to get out and about for the day. The breakfast staff was friendly and was always moving about to replace the items that had been consumed. Although they were a litttle stingy on the fruit, but I guess that is because people tend to take them for snacks for the day.

Third, the service, it was wonderful, from the front desk staff to the housekeepers. Each of them had a friendly hello to offer and an answer to any question that we had. I did get approached by a desk staff for a vacation tour type thing, but once I said no, that was it. I was never asked again.

The Plus, admission to Atlantis, this is where we spent our days and we had so much fun! We spent a lot of time in the current, just cruising along in our tube.

A great vacation for a great value.

My two kids and I just got back from four nights at the Comfort Suites. The hotel is very similar to a Residence Inn. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was great to have a fridge in the room. There's a microwave for public use on the main floor where the breakfast is served each morning which we used to make popcorn and mac & cheese that I packed for the kids. Bottled water was $2 in the hotel vending machines here so we stocked up instead of buying at Atlantis where it's more than double the price. The tap water was perfectly fine to drink, though too. The free WiFi worked well each night... the connection was fast and I never had any issues. The breakfast was the same each morning... choice of cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, eggs, waffles, toast, muffins, and sausage. The variety kept all of us happy until lunch. It's amazing that access to Atlantis comes with the room rate. The people visiting for the day off of the cruise ships were paying $170 each per day so I felt like we really lucked out with the Comfort Suites. We will definitely stay there again. What a gem!!!

Room Tip: The 5th floor is the top floor and the quietest. The hotel enforces quiet time in the halls but som...
