“Yum, Yum, Yum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

Had the grilled lobster and Bahamian chicken. They could have been more generous with the chicken (skinny thigh/drum stick) but the best part was Tina's custom Pina Colada with Baileys and Khalua...all I can say is OMG, I am making these at home!

“Excellent place to eat if you're tired of the hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

We ate at Twin Brothers on Jan. 28.

While staying at Atlantis, we asked the wait staff at the hotel restaurants where they eat. To a person, they said "Twin Brothers." When we mentioned names of other places we've heard of, they still said, "Twin Brothers." For the record, the show was featured on "Top Chef."

It's located on W. Bay St. by Arawak Cay at a place called "Fish Fry." For want of a better description, there are maybe 15-20 restaurants in a row that could easily be located on the gulf in Florida or the Jersey Shore. These are not fancy restaurants, by any stretch. Twin Brothers blends right in.

The atmosphere is like those places you might see on the gulf or Jersey shore as well. But you're not going for the atmosphere. You're going for the food.

The menu says that, if you order broiled anything, it'll take about 25 minutes. Being impatient, I order the grilled grouper and my wife had the grilled shrimp. My wife enjoyed her shrimp--seasoned perfectly. As far as the grouper, it was the second best grouper I've ever eaten (the first was at the Treasure Sands Club at Treasure Cay, also in the Bahamas--and that was part of a $300 meal for four. Dinner for two at Twin Brothers was maybe $70). It was spiced just right with a bit of a kick but not overpowering. And there was plenty of it.

So, if you're in Nassau and you want to go "off the reservation," you must eat here. And it'll be about a third of what you'll pay in the hotel. And it'll taste just as good, if not better. The locals don't lie.

“Eat with the locals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

So this is hardly an unknown commodity but when we stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner the place was packed with locals. One large group was celebrating a daughter's confirmation. The food is mostly fried fish and conch. This is a super casual atmosphere. Several local beers are available. The drinks tend to be super sweet. It is about a mile from the Straw Market and is walk able. You should stop by the Fish Fry on your visit to Nassau.

“Tropical Conch Salad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

I loved the Conch salad! It was so delicious! Though, I wish they can give you of having a smaller version because the size they give you is two portions. Also, try the daiquiri, I had the strawberry and pina colada flavour, great on a hot day :)

Very friendly staff, fair prices, Personally wasn't a fan of the Bahamian food but others in our group liked it.
