And looking forward to the third. My wife and I just returned home from our second trip to this wonderful and relaxing resort. Let me put it this way, if you're looking for the Ritz-Carlton or the Four Seasons go spend the 800.00 a night for those places. Compass Point offers the best value of just about any place we've stayed. Skip and Linda are terrific hosts, the staff is attentive but not intrusive, and the food is great. CIA trained (that's Culinary Institute) Chef Prince Bethel prepares an array of local dishes that are outstanding. The rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. You don't have to worry about a view of the air conditioning units or parking lot here, every hut (I hesitate to call them huts) faces the sea.
My wife and I are not novice travelers and we don't try to bring the U.S. with us, but if you need CNN, Fox News, ESPN, or American Idol (ugh) you've got it on a big flat screen TV in your room.
We highly recommend this place for people looking to relax in a small, quiet, friendly atmosphere. Read a book or five.
It's telling that foreigners living in the Bahamas go to Compass Point for a drink or a meal. If you're interested in Orlando meets Vegas madness try Paradise Island.
Next year it's two weeks for us.
