“Just okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Our stay here was nothing special. We were on the first floor, and were placed in one of the farthest rooms from the lobby. We had to walk down three separate hallways just to get there, which got old really fast. The buffet was 38 dollars a person, and did not offer more than a few options for meals. The only good part of it was the salad bar and ice cream. Our hotel room was so cold, the security lock on the porch door would get stuck and made it difficult to enter and exit. There was not a lot of hot water in the shower. The sink water had a weird taste, it was thick like pool water. We ended up going up to the gym once or twice a day just to fill up our water bottles with water cooler water, which tasted so much better. The water that came out of the shower also had a weird smell to it. The front desk people were not very friendly either. The hotel did have very fast elevators, which was nice.

“Nice family holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We spent our 4 days walking the beach, swimming, indulging in free water activities, snorkeling and diving with a local dive company, and enjoying local cuisine. If we had it to do over again, we would just suck up the higher cost of on-site food and not bother with off-site restaurants (they aren't that much cheaper). Sheraton often does evening performances and outdoor BBQs. Their Thursday night performance (limbo dancing, fire dancing, singing...) was awesome. Staff were always asking us if there was anything they could do to help and while it is true that gratuities at the restaurant are included in the bill, they couldn't have been friendlier or nicer. The heated pool could have been a few degrees hotter at least in March. The casino is in a separate tower so if gambling isn't your scene you don't have to worry about mixing it up with the gamblers.

Room Tip: 1st floor ocean front rooms are worth the convenience

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Been here many times still very nice. Nice beach and pool area. Good buffet breakfast. clean hotel. I will be back thank you. only down side the "casino" is next door at the Wyndham and the Wyndham sucks only slots were open nothing else.

Room Tip: You want a ocean view . stay away from the Garden or island rooms you will be looking at the Wyndham...

“Not worth wasting your vacation on”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

Summary: lobby is nice but small. Rooms are dated but relatively clean. Pools are nice. Not the easiest to get around for wheelchairs and strollers. Only one pool bar and one indoor bar. Food is below average and expensive. Alcohol is expensive. Service is indifferent overall.

This trip was disappointing. We had the all inclusive plan, but found out that all of the facilities that service all- inclusive close by around 11 pm, so don't expect to be able to get late night snacks or drinks. For the all inclusive plan, you have to sign for everything and it gets billed to your room, so you see the prices for everything. The breakfast buffet is $25usd and probably has a selection of about 15 items: omlettes, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, honeydew, can't elope, oranges, pineapple, corn beef hash, some sort of quesadilla. I don't know about you, but i feel like it is an exhorbanent amount for such little choice and the quality of the food was not good. The dolphin grill is ok. Nothing special. The Italian restaurant is the best they have, but don't expect too much either. Definitely do not expect great tasting Italian food.

The service is nothing to write home about. No one is rude, but they are definitely indifferent. I don't know if I am just not used to cultural mannerisms or the work atmosphere needs to change. Staff do not go out of their way to take initiative or anticipate your needs. At your table, you must specifically ask for water. Most other places do it automatically. If you want refills, you have to ask. When you ask for something, many of them will get it for you but they do not acknowledge that they even heard you, so you feel like they are ignoring you. I just get the feeling that many of the staff are either angry with management or just don't like their jobs. They do not make the experience warm and inviting. The exception is that they brighten up when they engaged with my son.

Would not come back. Go to jamaica

“Great Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

I stayed at the Sheraton Nassau Beach for 5 days celebrating my best friend’s birthday. We had a great time. The beach area was excellent, the staff was friendly, the hotel was very well maintained and everything I needed for an enjoyable vacation was available. I highly recommend this property.

Room Tip: I switched rooms becuase I wanted a view of the pool. All the rooms were spacious and bright.
