Small beach with outdoor bars and food places. Can get a pretty cheap beer, people watch, locals here too.

“Could be better...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Went to this beach since it was a short walk and close to the cruise ship. We only had a short time in port and it did the trick. Wanted to sit in the sun, dip in the water, grab a coctail. Beach could use a little love though. It is kind of rocky in the sand - if they swept the beach it would clear the majority out and make the sand nice and soft for walking on. Its a pretty white color. The water is beautiful. Clean and clear and calm. The shoreline is not for the tender footed. Again...rocks. You will need water shoes. Drinks run about $8. But nice and potent. There was a section that had a bit of litter washed up with seaweed. There was security. Security guard was visible and very nice. Bathrooms were clean and no charge. A few vendors asked to braid your hair or buy some clothes or jewelry, but they were not hassling anyone that I could tell. Beach had a good bit of people, but there was plenty of room - especially with four cruise ships in port. I would go back.

“Public beach that was in pretty good shape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

We were in town on a cruise ship, and had a few hours to kill. This beach was a short walk from the ship. It was clean for a public beach, and the water so clear. Some of the vendors were playing some great local music. If we go back to Nassau, we would spend a couple hours here in the sun and the sand.

“Small but nice beach!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

My Husband and myself visited this beach while docked in Nassua during our honeymoon cruise, it was a short walk from the ship to this beach, that is why we choose it. It is very small and in the downtown area, but it was still nice. The water was so beautiful and very clear with calm waves, totally different than Cabbage Beach, they have little drink shacks that line the beach where you can get drinks and we liked that we could see the ships from this spot, it was perfect for us as we just wanted a place to hang out for a couple of hours before heading back to the ship.

“Beautiful Water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Short walk from the cruise ship dock. Beautiful water, very calm swimming area. The beach was not the cleanest but the proximity to the dock, clean water, and friendly people make up for that.
