“Less than average golf club”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2011

My husband played here in March 2010 with a friend and I could not believe that I was charged $40 to walk round the course with him! We travel all around the World and never before have I been charged to "walk the course". My husband found the course was in poor condition, grossly overpriced and pro shop was distinctly lacking in stock. He asked for a pitch repairer as he likes to collect them from different golf courses and was told they did not have any. In fact a man who was waiting to play offered him a plastic one!

“GOLF COURSE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE - Do not play”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2010

Did not stay at the hotel. This is ONLY RE the Cable Beach Golf Course....

This course was in absolute HORRIBLE condition in May 2010. Only 9 holes are open while (hopefully) restoration takes place. Greens are unputtable - a mix of long irregular grass length and large sand patches.

Yet they continue to charge full rates for the chore of slogging around the same raggy loop twice.

Until and unless this reopens with full restoration, stay away.

“Nice Course, Scorer Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2009

This is a nice course. Very flat with wide fairways. Not very long. There is some water on the course, but unless you are a big slicer you should avoid most. The fairways were very nice to hit off. The greens were true, minus the ones with sand.

I was here during Oct 08. I think it was a Thursday morning and I was the only one on the course. Which made it nice to play extra holes. Unfortunately, they were sanding the greens that morning which they didn't tell me over the phone or discount at all. However, if a staff member was on an upcoming green, I would just go back to the hole before and replay. I finish about 23 holes in 2:45mins. So the starter let me continue playing another 6 holes or so.

If you are staying on this side of the island or can't afford the price at the One&Only, Cable Beach is an excellent choice. One&Only is $200 w/ rental in the afternoon(after 1:30pm). Unfortunately, I couldn't play in the afternoon, so I ventured down to Cable Beach. Which was about $190 with rental and cab ride from Atlantis. I think its $325 w/ rental before 1:30pm at One&Only. At Atlantis you have to demand they call and get you a time at cable beach if you want, but they do it. I found a bus back, $1. If you can find the bus there you could play in the morning for $165.

fyi..Get a price before you leave Atlantis to Cable Beach. The sign says $17, but the cabby demanded $25 and then had the nerve to ask for a tip. He didn't get one. :)

“Nice track”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2007

No frills golf course but the conditions are good, greens are in great shape and the overall maintenance is tidy. Not very long at 6000 yds from the white's and 6400 from the blues. At least 10 holes feature water "in play" so the shortness is offset by precision. Overall a very good VALUE for your golfing dollar given the high prices in the Bahamas. I played for $145 per round cart included. Good place to play!
