“A Must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2012

This restaurant is a must on a visit to Nassau. The view is amazing! It is under third generation managment, and the owner is dellightful. The evening music is not to be missed. The only disadvantage is the taxi fare since it is a distance from Sheraton. If you go during the day pack or wear your swimsuit. The beach is beautfiul and seldom used. Swim before or after eating a true Bahamian meal!!! We have been there several times during the day. This time we went at night. They called a cab and waited with us until we were safely on our way home!

“True Bahamian Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2012

We were staying at Orange Hill Beach Inn and Resort and on Saturday nights they give their chefs the night off. Two options: Head towards Cable Beach and Nassau or head west along the West Bay Street for dinner. We choose the later and were not disappointed. It was a 20 to 25 minute walk along the beach or a short taxi ride. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Again we choose the later with plastic tables and chairs. We had cracked conch along with peas and rice and two side orders cold slaw and potato salad. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was casual and it was obvious that the waitress knew many of the customers by first name. There was also quite a few orders of take out leaving the kitchen. Both were good signs.

“Da real ting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

We have a timeshare on Cable Beach. Hence, we have been dining in the Nassau area for the past 19 years. If it's authentic Bahamian food your looking for, this is the place to go. Nothing changes. Even the staff has not changed. The portions are huge. I love the cracked conch. Mac and cheese to die for. Traditional peas and rice. The inside dining room is not air conditioned. We always dine out side under the covered patio. (can be a bit buggy at night). From the patio there is a great view of the ocean. On the weekends there's away's great music from local bands. A little inside tip: if your into collecting beach glass, the beach across the street from the restaurant is a great place to search for it. Depnding on the tide. sometimes we go to collect glass late morning then walk across the street for lunch. Remember it's a Bahamian restaurant. Things happen on Bahamian time.
