I was pleased with the service of the employees at this hotel. The location is a whole other long story. Do not stay at this hotel if you want privacy and peace and quiet. Do not stay at this hotel if you want to be in a urban space that stays open until 2am. Everything around the hotel closed by 6pm. Except for the abnotious Senor Frog's right next door and super loud on average. This hotel rests in Nassau habour and I was overwelmed by the large and loud cruise ships arrived every couple of hours. Sometimes there was four a day! Everyone claims I should have stayed on Cable Beach in Nassau but the Hotwire.com stuck me there. Overal Nassau is over-priced especially for tourists and most servers in the restaraunts were not so eager to please the customers. The gratuity was included in the price everywhere I went! YUK! Just when I had enough...there were four different weddings and receptions at the hotel on my last night. I couldn't even enjoy the last sunset of my vacation for getting run off the beach by blushing brides and crying family members/guests.

Some rooms a little older. 7th Floor all suite floor.
Wonderful Execuitve club floor for members.
Low key and quiet. Wonderful positon in relation to the town.
Quick taxi ride to Paradise Island casino.

We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely historic Hilton Hotel in downtown Nassau. We arrived very early, but found our room ready and available. The lobby is impressive and the front desk staff was excellent. Some of the other reviews mentioned tiny, ugly rooms, but our room was great. The bathroom was exceptionally nice with marble, seperate glass enclosed shower and Crabtree & Evelyn amenities. There was turndown service, yet they didn't replace used towels. Our room overlooked the gardens/pool/beach with multiple wedding parties and arriving/departing cruise ships. Within walking distance you will find good restaurants, shopping, the straw market, a pirate museum (fun!) and the ferry landing for water taxi rides to Paradise Island ($3 per person each way). We visited Paradise Island & Atlantis and were glad we were staying in Nassau. It felt like being in Florida, not the Bahamas. We travel a lot and are Hilton Honors members. This is one of the better Hiltons we have visited.

I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel - a tranquil setting in the heart of downtown Nassau with it's own private beach and hammocks scattered around the pool area - to really help you feel like you are in a tropical setting.

I found the room to be very nice but was really impressed with the bathroom! It was one of the cleanest I have visited in the Caribbean, the lighting was perfect, the amenities were great, and the seperate shower and tub was a really nice touch. What's more...they had a real hairdryer - not one of those that is mounted on the wall - again - a hard to find in the Caribbean! I was so impressed it has triggered me to come back home and write a review!

My husband and I came for a few days right after Christmas and found the shell of the hotel to be fine, but the details were terrible. Our room pillows were all lumpy and pulled apart so we requested additional pillows and had to keep calling/asking concierge/front desk/housekeeping several times before we actually got them (we tried waiting an hour and a half at first). We could hear everything in the halls and the walls weren't too thick either. This hotel was not up to the Hilton level that we'd expect.
