If you have been to Nassau on business there not many places where to stay without feeling out of place wearing a suit.

The Hilton is a reasonable option. Conveniently located, it offers recently renovated rooms, good internet connection, walking distance to a few very decent restaurants and a very nice bar and patio where to have a drink after the meetings.

Food offer can definitively be improved. Breakfast does not tend to be included in the fee and you can get much better deals outside the hotel.

Great location and clearly the first hotel on the place. The list of extra charges and gratuities seems endless but we had a great time for a few days around the marathon. We booked very late and reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly (thank you Lashonna Dean-Smith)

The bar is great and Tuesday and Thursdays they have beautiful live music, seems to be a local highlight as some guests (spontaneously? hmm..) decided to pick up the microphone and sing along. Well entertaining.

The hotel rooms were fine, usual high Hilton standard. We had a twin room overlooking the island and the view was wonderful.

The pool area with access to the private beach was worth it. The pool was way too cold but you could swim at the beach, snorkel, jet ski, kayak.. I thought it was interesting to be so close to the cruise ships but in the end I didn't mind and stayed in the pool area. The beach bar was good and creative (lime daiquiris with black pepper for bit of extra flavor) and very friendly. The best spots are the lounge beds on the beach side of the pool, the further left the more sun you get.

Its only a short walk to the Arawak Fish Fry and it was helpful that prices for several destinations were stated on a sign for taxi journeys since taximeters havent found their ways in Bahamian taxis.

All in all a great stay for what we wanted and we are definitely coming back.

The hotel atmosphere is gracious and the pool and beach areas were immaculate. Our room was well-appointed and well-cared-for daily. We had breakfast at Aqua and the food and coffee were good. The staff was cheerful and helpful and the hotel was not used by cruise ship folks as a place to hang for the day. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships and many other boats in the harbor. The water taxis took us on visits to other islands everyday and then it was wonderful to come back to our quiet waterfront area and relax with a cocktail from the poolside beverage hut. Our only surprise was that our Verizon cell phones do not work in the Bahamas. Just buy a phone calling card at the BTC office across the street. Great vacation!

Room Tip: Definitely harbor view!

We booked the Hotel for one night through the Internet at a good rate. Room was o.k., but quite small. View of the garden, so it was quiet.

When checking out we found that a lot of extras were added to Hotel bill, like for instance Maid Service or Resort charges (whatever this is). Never before did we stay at a Hotel where we had to pay for the cleaning of our rooms. We paid extra for late check out, again maid Service and Resort charges were added, only for staying an additional 5 hrs in the room.

So in the end we ended up with paying around 70 % more than the original Price.

Would not stay in this Hotel again, there are many other Hotels in Nassau to choose from.

This hotel is very expensive. the room was small but well appointed. the restaurant was also expensive - altho the food was good. Service could have been better. For the cost of this hotel, I expected something better.

As a Senior, I find the British Colonial Hilton A1 for me. For pick up and drop off cn be right to the lobby door. All important areas are easy to access and only a short distance. The staff make every effort to be helpful and assure your comfort. The rooms are well maintained, clean comfortable and great views.

Spent a night here in January after coming off three nights at the Atlantis and a week of the out islands. It was a welcome change. The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. The private beach appeared nice, it was raining so we did not use. The hotel backs up to Sr. Frogs and many other bars and restaurants are within two blocks. (A lot of tourist in the area with the cruise ships docked). We did not hear any of the "action" from within the walled property. The concierges club was the usual with a selection of hot appetizers, cheeses, and cocktails. WiFi- it seemed to be a hot spot, the business center was crowded. Water pressure seems to be a problem everywhere in Nassau as we have experienced it at other properties as well. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit.
