Booked a package (flight & hotel) online and when we showed up staff said we had to pay additional resort fee which they should have been upfront about. Room smelled like urine, carpeting was moist, wouldn't upgrade to a better room without a huge fee. Casino had zero tables open and was deserted. When asked front desk where we could walk to grab dinner, they told us walking was not safe and to take a cab which were always conveniently waiting out front. Problem is, there were plenty of places within walking distance (found that out from other tourists) and the cab drivers were obviously working with the hotel charging $20 minimum even for a short ride. Ocean was warmer than the pool which was ok with me as I prefer to swim in the ocean. Local calls from the room were $2 each which was not noted anywhere. Their sister hotel next door, the Sheridan provided non motorized water activities however the space was roped off and was too small for any actual value or fun. The Sheridan did not charge a resort fee and was much cleaner and nicer by the way. We had an ocean front room with a nice view, especially of Paradise Island, where we should have stayed since that's where all the action was. Each morning we were woken up by blasting music down by the pool...very obnoxious, would much rather listen to ocean waves! At the end of the day I felt the staff robbed us, lied to us, and were not accommodating. I would never stay here or recommend this "resort" to anyone. Not that it matters, the place is being knocked down as soon as the new hotel is done being built right across the way from them.

To quote the staff, when I asked why they are working on it when it's about to be taken down,
"Have to keep the boat afloat until the end"

The location is amazing, and the price is unbeatable for beach front nassau. All around you can see the amazing job they are doing on the Bahamar project, amazing how clean it is.

The casino is empty, but they have to also 'keep it afloat' until the new casino takes over, so as to maintain their gambling licence.

we stayed in the H tower. room was very clean and quiet. didn't have towels first night, but staff quick to respond. they do charge $39 per room, regardless if you use the pool or beach.Beds were very comfortable and very nice bedding. Been here many times, and they recently changed the beach, took out the boardwalk and dock area by the ocean, which think was a big mistake. Food was very expensive. You have to try the hamburgers at the "daq shak" across the street, only $6 as opposed to the $18 charged in the restaurant at the Wyndham.

Similar to other reviews - this is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Rooms are outdated and dilapidated. Had to move rooms due to safe not being attached to anything in first room. Multiple light bulbs out in second room, drawers wouldn't close, door to room very difficult to close, carpet stains, hair in tub, etc. Place is just rundown. No gambling tables open in casino. Told they wouldn't be open, so it's not that we were there at the wrong time. Of course site showns a thriving casino. Outside hot tub broken, pool water was cold (not a sole in it) and many broken tiles around the pool. The fitness center (if you can call it that) was down right scary. Only one restaurant open for dinner even though the site lists many choices.
Only reason to stay there is the price. You do get to utilize the pool and beach of the Sheraton next door. We spent our whole time there. Nice warm pool, swim up pool bar, place is taken care of.
Overall the place should be torn down. Wyndham should be ashamed that the hotel carries their name.
