My husband and I visited Nassau this Sept 2011 and were looking forward to going in the off seasons hoping for no crowds. The hotel itself was ok, the room was nice, pretty big and clean with nice toiletries, and even a fridge which is rare. We did have a nice balcony with a partial view of the beach. It looked like most if not all rooms have a balcony. The hotel did have 4 towers and it looked like only 2 were occupied with hotel guests. Directly across from our balcony was a tower that upon arrival actually looked abandoned, sliders open, rooms inside a mess, junk on the balcony. Then I noticed a lot of them had contruction boots on the balcony and over the 4 nights we were there, we came to realized that the construction workers from the resort being built across the street must be staying there. Still fairly surprising that the hotel would not require them to keep it tidy for the sake of their reputation. The dining quality at the hotel was good, however since it was off season, not all restaurants were open, we did have a hard time findng out which hotel was open each night unless we actually walked all the way to it and read the sign. Then finally on the 3rd night, we say inside one of the cafe's a chart on when each restaraunt woud be open. I think it's fine to have them closed but felt they could have done a better job letting guests know, perhaps give a hand out upon check in, place the sign post in or near the elevators etc. The pool and beach area were great and was where we spent the bulk of our time. The pool was huge and also had a huge water slide. For the beach, you could go into the lagoon side for calm very warm water or just a few steps further past their cute tiki doc area to the open ocean which was wonderful too. Not a ton to do around this area on foot, pool, beach, the Daq Shack across the street for great fresh fruit drinks, the casino in between the Wydham and the Sheraton, very small but we had fun playing the penny slots for a bit and enjoying the cheaper drinks offered there. We thought there'd be a bit more of a night light with in the hotel area but considering how quiet it was there, it is to be expected. Overall the hotel was worth what we paid, we made full use of the pool and beach which was exactly why I choose this hotel after much research.
