“All inclusive is awesome”

We had a terrific time at Breezes in May. Even though the weather wasn't sunny 24/7 the staff was cheery and we didn't burn. The food was awesome, was great to be able to get a drink whenever we wanted to, our room had a great view, and we had a choice of beach-pool; buffet-restaurant; solitude-group activities; beer-mudslide-tropical drinks. No children, which was awesome. Security was terrific and I can't say enough about the staff.

Room Tip: Inside rooms around the pool are for the fun loving. Rooms facing outside the courtyard are quiet...

Stayed May 16 thru 25, 2014. Food okay, room 275 okay, Rosie of housekeeping was wonderful, beach great. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful until International relay athletes arrived there and we were suddenly 2nd thoughts. Would go back just for the beach.

When we first arrived we were not to happy with our room so we asked for a different one, what we ended up with was a ground floor walk out and the beach was right there totally amazing! The staff was super friendly, pools relaxing, drinks delicious, they are fixing the place up but big deal did not bother us at all, the only bad thing is the hugh mega hotel they are building next door, I dont think I would even consider staying there its way to big, breezes is cozy. So thank you breezes and all your staff for our fantastic vacation

The good: every staff member we had contact with was more than accommodating. We especially felt those employees working at keeping the pool area and upstairs deck clean were hard working and hospitable. Audley provided us a wealth of knowledge regarding the facilities. He was kind, friendly and hospitable. We could not believe the tireless hours that the employees worked (10 and 12 hour shifts for some and they still smiled at the end of their shift). The food in the main dining room and restaurants was very good. The room smelled moldy but it was clean with new bathrooms. Funky D was very entertaining and the staff who kept us entertained are multi talented.

The bad: if you're a beer drinker be warned. They only offer Kalik and it's pretty bad stuff. It's hard for a beer drinker to drink fruity frozen drinks all week.

Check in was a nightmare. We arrived at 12, room not ready. No big deal since check in wasn't until 3. Went back at 3 - still no room. By a little after 5 our room was ready. However, it wasn't the room we paid for instead of the ocean front room with a fridge we were given an "ocean view" our view was obstructed actually. We couldn't see the pool or the ocean.

The Day after we arrived, all paying guests were kicked out of the main dining room because relay racer athletes were checking in and they were given our dining room to eat in. The paying guests were moved to a restaurant for the buffet meals. The food was lukewarm on the buffet. Breakfast eggs pancakes etc. Were cold. The food was good but cold.

The ugly: because so many athletes were checking in some paying guests were displaced. Seriously, people were told they couldn't have their rooms anymore and had to move to other rooms. One couple we met were locked out of their room with their things inside. The hotel manager wanted them to move to the Hilton and come back to breezes to eat and drink. Seriously????

We won't be going back to breezes again. It's very sad when management is dysfunctional it's not a reflection upon the staff who are all hard working; but, it is a reflection on how breezes is managed. Apparently the manager picks and chooses whose reservation is downgraded and who actually gets the ocean front room they paid for. We made our reservations a year in advanced. There is no excuse for us not getting what we paid for. Period.

Room Tip: It doesn't matter what room you choose. You will get what they want to give you whether you paid...

The Kalik brand is very popular with our guests and has a large international following.
Our resort did host a large contingent of international athletes.Please accept our profuse
apologies if any of the planning associated with this activity in any way impacted your
vacation.No vacationers to our hotel were displaced as a result of our accommodation
of the noted.Our usage of the private dining facility was generally well received.We are
cognizant of a 'teething' issue with the temperature of two food items,fortunately this was
quickly resolved.
We think it important to note that guests are accorded room accommodation,based on
category booked.Their is no assignment by management that is ad hoc or not planned.

Stayed at breezes, price was very affordable but hotel was pretty outdated. Décor looks like something out of threes company. Drinks were free, food was horrible. Had to go off site to the hard rock everyday to have a decent dinner. Location was good. If your planning on going, wait until the new resort open right next door or go to Atlantis, unless your going on the cheap then this hotel will be fine.

Room Tip: don't get a main floor room or lower level

The good - Lovely beach with soft sand and blue ocean water

The bad - Beach is taken over by birds which swoop and pester almost attacking beach goers who try to eat or drink from their beach chairs. It was impossible to secure reservations in any of the restaurants we ate in the buffet every day. The food was okay but the table linens and napkins were stained. The rooms were outdated and the pillowcases and blankets had tears. The nightly entertainment was severly lacking. Three nights in a row it was basically the same act...same singer, same band with only slightly different songs but the resort labeled the entertainment something different every night. The resort offers lots of beach activities but the staff does very little to get the people involved. The activities posted are often changed at the last minute and start 30-60minutes late from the times posted. Finally, the staff treated each person with a different level of service. I recieved pretty good service all around but my travel companions got terrible service and were mostly ignored when requesting drinks.

Overall, I do not recommend staying here.

We stayed here for two weeks in April, the staff were friendly and helpful (to name a few Marco, Ahmed, Keishawn, Deangelo, Angela and Lunkey), the rooms were clean and the views amazing. The hotel has a lot of potential but does need a little updating. The food selection is excellent and we never had a bad meal. The drinks choices were good and as stated they did have premium drinks ie jack daniels grey goose and bacardi. Overall this is a value for money resort giving you a perfect location to explore the island. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to visit the Bahamas without remortgaging their home!!!
