“Great vacation and we will be back.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

Just returned from a four day vaction at Breezes bahamas. This was our second trip there. We saw improvements since last year. They were building new beach cabanas, rooms were being renovated, and our room was better than last year. Yes there is work to be done here. Speaking to staff management is commited to upgrading the hotel. You cannot please everyone, whether if its a three or five star hotel. People ill just complain. The staff here is what makes this place. Marvel, Carlton, Tiff, Philly and others.
The main question here would we return. Yes we would. Give them a chance to upgrade they are trying. The things we were told that they are doing will without a doubt improve this resort. Believe me we would not go back other wise. Yes mega resorts are great, even the one next door when completed. But in those places you are just a number, here at Breezes its small and personal. Thats how we like it.

I would call this a 3 star hotel - but perfectly adequate. The housekeeping staff did a great job in keeping our room clean, the beach was raked for seaweed every morning. The bar staff in the pool area are very nice and work very hard. Avi, Michelle, Letichia, Carrie and Michael. Sorry if I missed anyone. It makes a huge difference as a guest when you are treated to a smile and friendly hello. Unfortunately, the bar in the lobby needs some help. There was one lady working there that was great but unfortunately the men really did not project a happy demeanor and seemed almost put out by customers. Really too bad.
FOOD - buffet is fine you will not starve. We found breakfast our favorite meal usually - but lunch and dinner you should find something that you enjoy. The salads are great. Once again Jarvis in the buffet area is a wonderful waiter. Pastries are very good!
There is a shuttle to the casino at the Wyndham starting at 6:00pm. Tables at the casino set to open May 1st. Not a busy place but something to do.
All in all a very good trip. Rooms could use brighter lighting, and frequently the door into the room did not completely close, shower leaks, and more cabanas for shade would really be beneficial.
Great place for a low key vacation on a smaller resort.

Please Note: We went on this trip knowing it was not a luxury vegas vacation!
Our room wasn't ready right away and we had to wait an hour, but they keep our suitcases at the front desk so we could look around without having to drag them with us. They also handed us a drink as soon as we walked in, Bonus in my book!! Our room was nice, not overly fancy but not bad, bathroom was recently updated and the shower was big enough for two!! wink wink! The food at the buffet was awesome! different variety every night, and it was fresh. We didn't try any of the specialty restaurants, could never get up on time to make the reservation. Staff was very friendly and laid back, bartenders were very nice and creative with the drinks. Will at the piano bar was my favorite, can't wait to go back and see him! TIP: buy a sports bottle from the gift shop, the bartenders will fill it up with whatever you want so you don't have to keep going back!
The indoor market is nearby and worth a walk around! The hotel will call a taxi or you can catch the bus, there's a station right outside the lobby. Neither is very expensive. One of our trips out there I decided that we should walk back to the hotel. I DO NOT recommend doing that, especially in sandals. The drive is short the walk, not so much.
They had a lot of great shows at night, great music and the dance club was fun too. also located away from the common areas which was nice.
We tried the spa once, did the couples massage, loved it!
All in all we had a lot of fun, partied for 7 days and other than a sunburn and a hangover had no complaints!

Room Tip: If you want peace and quiet as for a room not facing the pool, tends to get a little noisy.

My wife and I just returned from a 4-night stay at the Breezes Bahamas from April 20th-23rd. This was our 3rd time there and we had a great time. The staff was very courteous and attentive. Food was excellent and the entertainment staff did a good job arranging various fun activities and competitions during the day. Funky D and the Summer Breeze Band did their normal great entertainment each evening.
Check-in went smoothly as we arrived around 2:30 and were in our room by 3:00.
Air conditioning worked well. The water from the bathroom faucet is safe but its taste may bother some travelers. The water served in the restaurant and bars was fine.
Our favorite bar drink was again the Mudslide. Kalik was the only beer available but it was good.
Upon leaving I did advise the front desk I had one HUGE complaint...........we only booked for 4 nights and should have booked for 7...Hated to leave.

Room Tip: Ocean front rooms are quieter and have nice view of the beach. The Ocean View rooms have a very nic...

My Friend and I just came back from a week at Breezes in the Bahamas, we read all the reviews before we went and were a little nervous at first. However, when we got there we were excited from the first minute! We checked in at 10 at night and Funky D and the summer Breeze band were in full swing in the lobby. We had a great experience! The food was amazing maybe one of the best places I have been food wise! The Conch Fritters by the pool are a MUST! The people make this resort what it is. Jarvis in the buffet is the sweetest funniest person ever! IT was a pleasure seeing him every day. The entertainment staff (Marvin, Justin, Em-Jay, Tiff and Joey) were so much fun and always made us feel at home. Thanks for making this trip so awesome. We will definitely be back to Nassau and staying at Breezes! One last thing I have to mention is the lady bartenders by the pool! They don't miss a beat and it is always service with a smile! IF you haven't been to Nassau and you are looking for a great place to visit where the price is right, the service is amazing, the food is 5**** and the beds are the most comfortable ever then Breezes is the place for you! IF you are looking for a 5 Star Hotel with Marble everything then go somewhere else! Miss everyone cant wait to come back! Phallan & Falien

Excellent and friendly staff - well done guys - it must be difficult going to work in such a shabby and dated hotel!
6 couples arrived on a Majestic Tours transfer bus - it took 40 mins for 3 members of reception to check in 6 rooms. Safe keys were not available until 5 hours after check-in as 'there were not enough keys' and the hotel manager is seemingly the only person with access to keys!
The hotel in general is shabby and in need of some TLC - chipped tiles throughout in pubic areas (and I mean 2" x 2" chipped in places), unsafe and incorretly fixed carpet, no railings down stairs from pool area to main resturant. The 'piano bar' smells of damp carpet.
On a brighter note the buffet dinner is very good, and the speciality restaurants serve food of a decent standard. However I was somewhat bewildered, after having read the 'no caps, no tee-shirts, no shorts - no entrance' policy', to find that the majority of diners were infact wearing shorts, tee-shirts and caps. Why have a policy which is not adhered to?
Most definately NOT up to our expectations.

Room Tip: Pay more and stay at the Sheraton down the road!
