“Choose your beach and enjoy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

While we did not stay at the resort, we used a day pass to explore and enjoy this high end resort. Built by the Rockefeller family, the grounds are beautiful and several beaches can be accessed. A pass will cost you $20 if you wish to park a car or you can enter via taxi. A walking trail will lead you to Honeymoon beach which is around the point. Great restaurants on site as well.

“Small, On Display, Boats”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

This is a very thin, short stretch of beach right in front of main hotel area, breakfast buffet and boat launch. I was shocked to see anyone choose this beach when there are 3-4 others very close by that are none of these things.

“Great snorkeling without Trunk Bay crowds !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

This was by far the most popular beach at Caneel Bay but it never felt crowded with plenty of room. The water was crystal clear and the snorkeling was absolutely amazing on the far right side of the beach (by the rocks, away from the dock) - plenty of fish and I even saw a big stingray on the sand in about 6 ft. of water. Kayaking and sailing were great as well.

“Great Fun and Relaxation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

This is a great beach to relax or keep busy kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling and fishing. The great trees allow for shade and a great day of reading, napping and just taking it all in. The snorkeling is average because the reefs are located on the ends of the beach but the other activities are great. Drawback is the walk to the beach. They rent chairs for $3 and they are very accommodating if you need some extra time on that kayak! Lastly, you can order food from the Caneel Resort Restaurant and they will bring it to you. See my other posts on other beaches and restaurants.

“Other Beaches are better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

Don't get me wrong, this beach is beautiful, but it is a resort that allows the public to come to the beach for a $20.00 parking fee. You do not need to pay if you spend the money in the shop, bar, or on food-very easy to do.
They do not allow you to bring chairs, coolers, umbrellas, or really anything but your towel on the beach and everything (nice chairs, floats, water toys, etc) are saved for resort guest. No shade/trees. We had lunch at the restaurant, it was excellent. There are other beaches that are beautiful and you can carry in everything, except glass bottles.
