“Worth the hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Snorkeling not as good as I had expected calm waters my teenagers thought boring. Others said if you swam further out more to see. Pack a cooler it's a long dry hike worth the drive if you are staying on other side of the Island.

“Worth the drive!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Crossed the island twice during our recent week long stay, mainly due to rough conditions on the north side of the island. Fantastic beach, especially for families with small kids. Calm and quiet. Only downside is the 1/3 mile walk to the beach - or should i say "uphill" walk back from the beach at the end of the day. But well worth it. Then stop at "The Tourist Trap" for a late lunch or cocktail!

“Nice south side beach with hiking trails”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Nice short hike to the beach, beautiful beach, great snorkeling, hiking trail to Ram Head where there is a fabulous 360 degree view of the SE end of St John. Even better snorkeling along the hike, a the blue pebble beach--go to the right--and see a lot of colorful coral and fish. Videotapped a herd of cuttlefish swimming--fun!
Less shade than at other beaches, so go early and get a spot under a grape or palm tree.

“A great find enjoyed as much as trunk bay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013 via mobile

This place was a great find there is quite a bit of Steep hill going up and down so children under five probably would not do so well .The water is crystal clear, the snorkeling is good it is not crowded! It is a nice place to explore!!
