Owner description: The good news: this world-class stretch of white sand and turquoise water is St. John's most photographed beach, which features a marked underwater trail for beginning snorkelers. The bad news: because of its popularity, it can get very crowded with cruise ship passengers and members of sightseeing tours.

“This is the most photograghed beach in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is one of the prettiest beaches in the world. You have to go early or late to beat the cruise crowds but it is definitely worth it. Rent some snorkel gear and follow the buoys. It is very safe and the waters are calm. It is my wife's favorite place to go!

“Still so beautiful...even with the tourist onslaught!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

I've been going here since the early 90's when it was much more quiet, but we still love it. When the cruise ships dump their tours out here, it can be a little hectic, but if you can outlast those groups and stay on the island for a few days, you get a better feel for how the island really is. St John is still one of our favorites!

“Every bit as beautiful as the pictures”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

A beautiful beach, lots of sand, and blue, blue water. Nice facilities as this is the National Park site - showers, snack bar, etc. A very nice day. The swells were a bit big the day we were there, which was not a problem for us, but you will want to watch small children carefully if they are not good swimmers.

“Nice beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Loved this beach for snorkeling and hanging out. We arrived in the afternoon and the crowds were clearing out but parking is an issue. The have toilets and showers but they close down at 4 (or was it 4:30?) so you have to be one of many if you want the amenities. The snorkeling is lovely with signs underwater.

We have been to 5 of the best beaches on the list but how could Trunk Bay, St John USVI be left out. Gorgeous Beach.
