“Sea Turtles!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

During our trip all of the beaches were closed due to the government shutdown. Although our favorite beach is Cinnamon, we decided to take a chance and cross the barriers (like everyone else) and try a new beach. Well worth the risk. Quiet and secluded, but busier than usual due to the Westin pool closure. First time seeing sea turtles after visiting island for 15 years.

“Turtles!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

If you want to see sea turtles, when you get to the beach, walk to the right and go at least half way to the end of the beach. Turtles will be in the grass about 15-20 yards from shore. The rocks all the way to the left side contain lots of fish. Take a cooler full of drinks and enjoy an awesome day!

“Favorite St. John beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

This beach doesn't have all of the amenities as Trunk or Cinnamon. But, Maho is perfect for long beachfront walks in the super soft white sand. The waves are calm, the water warm, parking is convenient for carrying chairs & coolers to your perfect spot. There is a palm tree-line for ducking under the shade. FYI, only 1 concrete, porta-potty style bathroom. Bring food & drinks, nothing for sale close-by.

“Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

No need to snorkel. We saw sting rays, long fish, large fish and pelicans right from the beach. No bugs, no crowds. Water was very clear it was like swimming in a pool.

“Nice enough to go twice!”

Maho was one of our favorite snorkeling spots with starfish and sea turtles! Take a picnic lunch and enjoy!
