“Rude Staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

We took the car ferry over to St John on Boyson.....the staff here were really rude, yelling at us as we backed onto the ferry and the bottom of our rental car scraped really bad because of the incline. The actual ride was fine but those people need attitude adjustments, especially the guy wearing the white shirt and I think he was in charge? Hello...we pay your salary, how about some general level of decency to your customers??

“Public inter island transportation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2014

The ferry is, to my knowledge, unavoidable if you plan to travel between the islands. It's on time, and met my expectations in terms of travel time. There's no assigned seating - your ticket entitles you to any available seat at any level once on board.

“Great Ferry Ride!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014

Flew into St. Thomas, caught a cab to Red Hook Ferry which took about 40 minutes & then took the ferry to St. John (about a 15 minute ferry ride). Sat at the very front of the ferry with a great view. Even had a seagull flying/accompanying us from St. Thomas to St. John!

“Nice ride in the morning, back during "commute hour" another story”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

We took the walk on 8AM ferry to Cruz Bay in the morning and came back later on the 4PM. What a difference between the two! The cruise back was loaded with what I'm assuming were locals commuting back from work. 90% of the people on the boat were cool and quiet. But...there was a group of local drunk men hassling every female tourist getting on the boat. They stopped once the boat started moving, but it was still not cool.

“Take the Ferry...then take it again!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

We always took the Westin ferry to our time share . Someone suggested the Red Hook Ferry and we were so impressed. We actually rode on the older ferry over and then had a chance to ride on the beautiful new blue and gold ferry. The ride was smooth and easy-though I was actually sad it was so quick because such a beautiful view-not a complaint just a fact! The staff is so accommodating and the wait areas at St John and Red hook are clean, safe and convenient.Have a drink at the bar in red hook in the terminal-she's a friendly bartender ! We actually took the ferry again to St thomas one night and it was so convenient-Great job-might want to make the signage a bit better that bags are extra as many tourists did not see that including us and held up line having to go back and get additional bag tix!!
