We were in Cruz Bay looking for a nice, local place that wouldn't eat into our bank account the way so many places in the Virgin Islands do. The St. John Inn fit that mold perfectly. Not the over-hyped corporate facade of places like the Westin, Phil and Mary Kay treated us treasured guests and friends. Their kindness, help, and positivity really made the whole experience. Rooms are colorful and comfortable with plenty of room to spread out and lounge around. The bed was as soft and cosy as anywhere we stayed in the VIs. The Inn offers breakfast and cocktail hour on the kind of shaded patio you see in postcards and travel guides luring you to the islands. All in all an abolutely phenomenal place to stay, the best of our three-week, five-island tour. I can not recommend the St. John Inn any higher, stay here, you won't regret it, and smile at your good fortune everytime you see the poor, pasty, yawningly enthused sheeple being carted back and forth to the Westin. Thank you Phil and Mary Kay, you're doing it right, keep up the great work.
