Enjoyed a recent dinner at Virgin Fire. The staff were friendly and welcomed our reservation for a large birthday party. The entrees were very good, particularly the beef dishes. We had a few appetizers that were also tasty, including the heated salt block with raw meats you cook on your own. Great atmosphere with chill music, low lighting, vaulted ceiling, and Caribbean stone walls. Good spot for a special occasion. Entrees will run you about $26 on average, and mixed drinks were overpriced at $10-12 in one of those annoying "no blending zones" spreading like wildfire on St. John.

Thanks for the visit, and we appreciate the review. Glad you enjoyed the friendly staff, and the food and the atmosphere.
As to the overall value, that's a very personal judgement, but most would agree that entree prices at an average of $26 for a fine dining establishment here are in line or perhaps a bit low. It isn't that the restaurants gouge here, it's that operating costs are very high, particularly our energy costs, which are among the highest in the world. We do offer half price appetizers from 4 to 6:30 daily, and a number of small plates all the time that are both filling, delicious and relatively inexpensive.
About the blender: they are just so loud and the room we have is acoustically challenged, that we reached a decision, for our guests sake, to not have one. As to the drink prices, we make a number of house cocktails that use fresh juices, including watermelon, pomegranate and cucumber, so these range between $10 and $13. Your basic Stoli and Tonic is $7, a Heineken is $4.
Again, thanks for the visit and we appreciate the feedback-- hope to see you again soon!
