“Idyllic, to say the least!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

I would, hike to the beach early in the morning, before heat got to intense and stay until right before nightfall! One of the nicest, I have ever been at and I have been to a few!

“Visted while on a cruise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

My wife and I took the hike to this little beach while on a cruise. It was August so there wasn't a crowd. i believe there was one other couple. This was the highlight of our cruise. We considered this out private beach.

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

this is a nice beach to stop at mid hike. It was a 10 minute walk from where I was staying and went here to snorkel and relax.

Other reviews say they saw no other people at Salomon, but that was not my experience. I was there for a couple of hours and there were at least 10 other people around that whole time, some of whom where smoking (yuck). The beach is pretty small.

“Very Nice Secluded Beach!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

This beach location is a trek/hike, but will reward you with its seclusion and serenity for the day. All the other reviews of this beach are really right on target for what to expect with this place. It does have good snorkeling with many barracuda present and other reef fishes in the deeper waters off shore. Bring extra fluids/food to this one, the hike is hot and the beach will enamore you to stay a bit longer than expected.

“Salomon Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

I had to smile at some of these reviews....we've been going to St John for 25 years, and have been to Salomon many, many times-more now that it's no longer a "nude beach"! Anyway, we are always there in February-and it has NEVER once been deserted....the mornings are full of day trippers over from St Thomas in addition to people from the cruise ships in St Thomas-and all the charter day sail boats that unload everyone...so, it IS beautiful-and we hike there almost every day for 3 weeks every year when we're there-but DESERTED? Not in February......:)
