“Great little beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Francis Bay is a jewel of St John beaches. It never gets much cruise ship traffic and the swimming and wildlife are amazing. We saw all sorts of fish and a huge turtle.

“Drift Away & Spend the Day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We found Francis Bay 4 years ago and LOVE this beautiful white sandy beach. (You have to have a car to get here.) Francis has a few picnic tables & grills and a porta-potty. You will have shade until the sun is overhead! We pack a lunch & spend the day on this beautiful quiet beach.

The water is calm with great snorkeling. You want to snorkel on the far left or far right sides. We have seen turtles, barracuda, stingrays & octopus here. Also large brain coral and lots of beautiful fish..... It's also a treat to sit on the beach and watch the pelicans dive in the water for their dinner. ;) Locals frequent this beach and dogs are welcomed.

“Snorkeling and grilling”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

This beach is a little farther away from town. It only has a outhouse, no showers or changing rooms. It does have tables and grills. Pack up some burgers and charcoal and cook right on the beach. When you get down to the beach go all the way either to the left or the right. Out by the rocks is some great snorkeling. If you get there early and plan to BBQ and snorkel go the the left and go all the way down to the last table and grill.

“Beautiful and peaceful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

This beach is gorgeous. It's nice in that there are many shady areas, and lots of picnic tables down the beach. The water is beautiful and calm. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the beach is so narrow. But it was absolutely beautiful and we would recommend visiting. I heard that the snorkeling is great, but we weren't prepared with our gear on the day we visited.
