“Amazing stay, plus great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

I would recommend staying here to anyone. This resort had everything. The scenery, close beach front, gorgeous pools, all at a great price. Restaurant right off the beach called Panga. Great food and drinks. Anthony took care of us from the start. He is very knowledgeable about the area. He took us kayaking and snorkeling. It was the highlight of our trip! And even better, it was included. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We will come back to visit again soon and definitely stay here.

We were picked up at the airport shuttled off to a different resort to check in? Then we were dropped at D12?? We booked water front this was on hill top.We placed our bags in the villa looked around very nice with gorgeous view so we didnt ask to change rooms. However we were not given any info about restaurants or even where or who to contact for help and no maps. Does this place not have onsite help?? Two wonderful guests gave us a ride to Red Hook for dinner we grabbed a taxi back. Called it a night because it was dark already and we didn`t know were we were except we had a villa to sleep in. So we tried to sleep but as uneasy as we felt it was difficult. The next morning we woke up to a beautiful sunrise coming up the view was breath taking!! We decided to explore the resort. After a short walk we found a lobby and decided to see who was there. This is when we meet Jeff !! We told him our experience so far he explained how he took over in April this year and we were through old management. My heart sank ,I knew I had made a terrible mistake. However he said not to worry he would take care of us anyway !! Within two hours Tessa took us kayaking to Lindquist beach and taught me how to snorkel ! It was so awesome I asked to go again with her at the end of the week to Coki Beach!!They helped us with all of our transportion on and off the resort! They also set up a sailboat cruise on Morning Star Charters that was nothing short of perfect! In addition told us all the great spots to go visit on and off the island. If you are looking for a great vacation you must give them a call I am positive it will be amazing! Our honeymoon was perfect thanks to Jeff, Tessa, Jackie, Aaron, Anthony, Emma, Charlie, WIllie, oh my I can keep going, the whole staff at Point Pleasant! We can`t wait to go back ! Needless to say we never heard from the company we booked through since check in. We left the key in the room for them I assume they know we have left.

Room Tip: HIgher floors have amazing views !!

You will not regret going to Point Pleasant! The views are amazing and the staff is as well. Aaron, Charlie, Jeff, Jackie, Tessa, Willie and the whole staff will make sure that you have an amazing time. When we first got to the island we thought about switching resorts due to the old management but Aaron asked us not to do that. I'm glad that we didn't. This was a perfect honeymoon! We will be back to see our new friends again next year.

We had the good fortune of staying at The Point Pleasant Resort in May of 2014. The Staff was the most accommodating and truly cared about our visit. The room we had was perfect, clean, spacious, and had the most spectacular views of St Thomas and the BVI's. The location of the resort is perfect! It is away from the busy town of Charlotte Amalie and is a 5 minute drive from Red Hook, which was our favorite spot to Dine and enjoy the evenings. We are looking for the next chance to get back to Point Pleasant, Thanks for making our vacation the best one yet!

We loved our stay there. It started out kind of bumpy because of a switchover from old to new management and they were not communicating. But for the lack of a key and offsite registration at first, our time there turned out to be perfect! We loved Aaron in the reception area. His positive and "Can Do" attitude really set the tone for our stay. The ladies behind the desk knew us by name and were there to help on any little detail. Willie and Charlie drove the shuttle for us to traverse this very hilly property and even took us to a couple of beaches and into Red Hook several times. I think a few dollars is appropriate for offsite rides. Some riders didn't "get" that. I now see, the property is going to charge a "resort fee." I do not think that was in effect in May when we were there.

The units are unbelievable. The view is 180 degrees from a mostly a wrap-around balcony. Most rooms have this asset. We stayed in B18. The furnishings were OK, a little worn. I understand the new management company is requiring certain new, higher standards.

There is a waterside restaurant on site. The food was great, and they run a dollar-off "happy hour" daily.

Coki Beach is a 10-15 min. walk (easy) or you can use a shuttle. Coki is a locals beach but can become quite crowded on cruise ship days. You can see soooo many fish there. The beach on property is quite small. Soon there will be another, larger resort on the beach between PP and Coki. It has been closed down for years but is currently under renovation and will house a Margaritaville restaurant/bar.

We have been to Point Pleasant 3 times and this was our most enjoyable.

Room Tip: If you are above the reception area, it is a really long walk down to the restaurant and water; but...

My partner and I just returned from Point Pleasant. We had a great time. The views from the villas are truly spectacular. It was difficult to leave our balcony many mornings. Also, the location is ideal. The small town of Red Hook is definitely the place to be at night in St. Thomas is only a few miles from the resort. Charlie and Willie the two shuttle drivers were absolutely charming. The staff in the lobby became our best friends for a week. Aaron was a huge help and a lot of fun. Jeff and Vincia treated us like long lost brothers.

We met a few other people staying at the resort. One group was not renting a villa through the resort. It seemed that they had some issues but the people at the resort came to their rescue.

My partner just kept saying "The Point is COOL!" It really is. Cool resort with a cool staff. We hope to return soon.
