“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2014 NEW via mobile

Stayed at Sapphire resort for a week during off-season and had 1st floor beach-front suite, so we could walk straight onto beach. Wonderful snorkeling area -- quiet, clean beach (never even saw more than 5 other people); beautiful clear water; loads of wildlife (sea turtles, sting rays, countless different kinds of fish, small patches of coral); iguanas. Yes, there was construction, but easily ignored if you're under water.

“Easy to find”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2014 NEW

Parking for public access was not very well marked and parking area was in disrepair. Area was under renovation. Beach not very clean and was very rocky.

“Great beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2014

This was our favorite beach on St. Thomas. It was free, not crowded, the locals were very nice. Cruise ships tend to drop off loads of people around 1pm, but they usually only stay about 2-3 hours. Snorkeling was good depending on the day. The beach has a beautiful view of St. John. I noticed another reviewer said there was a lot of seaweed on the beach, we did not see any seaweed it was clear water & the water was a great temp. There are some nice patches of sea grass filled with fish. I found that there were more fish in the morning between 9 & 10:30 before the sun got to hot.
