“Something different for sure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

We went to Magic Ice partly because I needed to check it out for a group activity and partly because an "ice bar" was on my sis-in-law's Bucket List. We went on a Friday evening for Happy Hour. Our group of 7 had the run of the place so we enjoyed the slide and taking lots of photos on and around the sculptures. The teenagers thought it was very cool. And the adults appreciated the shot of rum. The work that obviously goes into these sculptures is pretty impressive too. We didn't stay inside long...just too cold...and we didn't want to miss the Christmas Lights boat parade going on outside in the bay. If you're OK to drop a $20+ bill and spend a few minutes doing something wacky and cold on a tropical island, then I say go for it.

“Head North for Cold Instead”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

What a waste of money. Went on a slow day for something different and were the only ones there. No bartender in sight to make our one free shot of rum so we had to go back out front to find someone. It was dead and took all of 2 minutes to see ice sculptures. Not impressed.

“Ice Bar”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

Over priced and the ice sculptures are worn out from thawing, this place is a bust. When you get there they give you a big line about how cold it is, how great the sculptures are and then they give you the price per person to get in $22 per person and you get a shot and get to keep the shot glass. Small place and big price, go if your hot and need to cool off but ask when the last time the sculptures were replaced so your not disappointed.

“Different and fun to do”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

Stopped in while on a cruise stop. Have to agree with others that it is overpriced at $22. If you are short on cash, its nice you have the option to charge it to your ship's sign & sail card. But its fun to see and you do get a shot of rum with complimentary glass. Can take your time walking around and it is amazing to see what they can shape out of ice.

We still had our snorkel gear with us and they were nice enough to let us leave it behind their front desk while we went in. I would recommend going in towards the end of the day as we had the place to ourselves. :)

“Overrated attraction”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

While a nice place to cool down from the heat, the cost is $22 per person for about 15min. of activity. You end up trying to stretch it out to make the cost worthwhile, but ultimately a free drink and ice sculptures are not worth $22each. Possibly 30 sculptures and an ice bar. The only cool thing is that you get a free shot and get to keep the shot glass.
