We just returned from a week long stay at Villa Blanca. If the vision of sunsplashed days and sultry nights stirs something in your soul, then this is the place for you. There were four of us, and we still cannot stop talking about the wonderful experiences we had there. There is a soothing, magnetic quality at Villa Blanca that is hard to identify. Perhaps it's the caress of the tradewinds that you feel from the private decks of the rooms, or as you sit on the patio at the pool.
We stayed in the two spacious and roomy cottages that are separate from the main hotel. We highly recommend a stay there. Each cottage is lovely, and offers the same amenities as the rooms in the hotel, except they have a full kitchen and private deck, with magnificent views of the harbor. A continental breakfast is delivered to your room each morning, or you can do as we did, and use the fully equipped kitchens in the cottages to prepare your own meals and then eat them outside at the tables and chairs which are provided on the decks. Our host, Eugene, was outstanding and friendly and even offered us the use of a grill, so we could barbecue! We rented a car throughout our stay, and although we found time to explore the beauty of the islands of St.
Thomas and St. John, we found ourselves spending increasingly more time in our home away from home at Villa Blanca. Between spending time at the freshwater pool and exploring the private 3 acres of garden and hills, we rarely wanted to leave. Villa Blanca is centrally located, and just a few minutes drive to shoping, nightspots and restaurants in Charlotte Amalie and other island attactions, such as the beaches, or the ferries to St. John.
In the past, we've taken cruises, and stayed at all-inclusive resorts.
But none of those compared to the beauty, charm, grace and serenity of Villa Blanca. Needless to say, we're already planning our return visit.
