i had a serious great time the few days i stayed there.... the staff is great and the owners were so awesome.. i didnt'really care about the plane noise or "how my room looked" i simply enjoyed the hospitalty of it all.... i will be returning with no complaints ... as i would say "your on island time... leave the trivial behaviour at home"....

I am SAD to read in the Virgin Island Daily News 2/21/2013 that negotiation are underway for a take over of the Beachcomber. I have been vacationing at the hotel since 1985. Staff has always been very accommodating. Who could ask for a nicer beach. True the rooms weren't "fancy", but mine was always clean. I liked it because of its island charm. Its a part of the islands history. What a shame it will probably be tunred into just another fancy place to stay. With out the island charm or friendlyness. Well at least I can have my great memories, of the great staff and the Resch family.

When we arrived our rooms weren't ready, they lost the reservation for one of our two rooms so I was forced to share with the person I had to travel with. The door to the room looked like it had been kicked in. So close to the runway at the airport, every time a plane landed my headboard shook. Roaches in our room were big enough to steal the soap from the shower. Beach on the property was nice. Never again.

We have been staying here off and on since 1995. We stopped staying here after Rebecca took over and the price went thru the roof. The last trip we paid $127 inc tax. Anything over $200 is not worth it. Some of our group paid $188 for an upgraded room and were given Rms 124-125, which face a wall of the Emerald Beach and need to be upgraded.
The staff here is wonderful if you treat them with respect and are very accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. The beach and beach bar are great. The restaurant has new servers who are warm and wonderful.
It was nice to return and will plan to stay here after our charters again.
