We had a family of five and two grandparents on this excursion. It was absolutely wonderful. We motored out to Turtle Cove and got our gear on the way there. Once there we jumped in the water off the side and then were taken over to where the turtles were hanging out on the bottom. The turtles come up from air now and then and the joyful noises coming out of my kids' snorkels was priceless. After that we headed over to see the tropical fish and had free time to explore. We were in the water for about an hour. Back on board the sails were hoisted and we sailed back while drinks (soda, "painkiller," and/or Rum and Coke) and snacks (chips and salsa) were served. My kids wanted "virgin painkillers" and Jordan happily obliged them.
Our kids are 7, 10 & 13 and are good swimmers. Some of the younger kids on the trip seemed to have a harder time with the swimming or possibly just being in the water. My parents didn't do well with jumping in and were back out of the water fairly quickly. So, my only critique is that the explanation on the excursion should mention that you need to be able to go up and down the ladder and/or jump off the side. Because the other excursions mentioned this and because this was an all ages excursion, I mistakenly thought that it would be easier for my parents to get on and off. I wouldn't change the trip, I would simply add a disclaimer to the explanation.
