This place is absolutely gorgeous. We were happy to see that turkey was on the menu for the evening as well as prime rib, pork loin and a vegetarian option. They also offered a plate of "leftovers" for $10.00 with the purchase of an entree. I thought this was sweet as some of the best part of Thanksgiving are the leftovers. Now to the food, for appetizers, I thoroughly enjoyed my mushrooms in phyllo and heard that the oysters were great (not a fan so I didn't taste). Our table tried all the entrees listed above. The prime rib was wonderful. Flavorful, cooked to perfection. I heard the turkey was good but didn't taste it. The pork loin was too sweet for my taste but when we reheated the leftovers in bacon grease the next day, it improved drastically. When I asked what the stuffing was in the vegetarian option of stuffed butternut squash, I was told cheese, mushrooms and something else that our server couldn't remember. What she forgot was pesto. Don't get me wrong, I love pesto but it was a bit overpowering for the squash. Good experience. I would love to go back in the daytime to enjoy the view and the grounds. Cozy spot that made us feel like we were at home. Service was a bit lacking but I really believe our server was just worn out. Adequate but not spectacular. Prices were a pleasant surprise for such a nice place.
