Our family of 8 sailed on the 23rd. of December with Captain Dave, first mate, Jocelyn, and Sophia the wonder dog. After a half hour drive from the cruise ship dock, we arrived in Red Hook. Our family of 8 were the sole guests so we felt like it was our own private charter. Snorkelling was on the top of our priority list so Captain Dave headed out across the blue Caribbean waters to Grass Cay. After making sure we all had the right fit for our snorkel gear, we jumped into the water to explore. It was a great place to see all kinds of fan coral, brain coral and tons of fish. Dave pointed out the best places to investigate and we enjoyed over an hour of great snorkelling. While we were in the water, Dave and Jocelyn were preparing what was definitely one of the best lunches of our whole trip. Both the salmon and the gigantic pork chop were accompanied by potato salad as well as two other delicious salads. Truly yummy!! After lunch, we sailed over to another spot where we had another hour of snorkelling in a totally different landscape. Back on board, there was homemade salsa and chips for us to snack on. We totally enjoyed our day on Oh Be Joyful and highly recommend this adventure.
