“Honeymoon Beach, Water Island,USVI”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

We were disappointed.. It was like a cross between your local town beach and an basic island beach. We did see the grass umbrella stands but not chaise lounge chairs and being down on the sand meant sand fleas. It felt like we were in someone else's back yard.

“Peaceful beach...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We were on a Norwegian Cruise last week and one of our stops was St. Thomas. We had been to St. Thomas before and wanted to do something different this time. When we got off the ship we asked our taxi man to take us to the water taxi that goes to Water Island (where Honeymoon Beach is). The taxi man took us to town. We walked a little ways then asked a person walking where the water taxi was to Water Island. They said "Its clear over to Crown Marina" and that we had a long ways to walk still. We then took another taxi to Crown Marina. From there we took the water taxi to Water Island. Once we got there, there was a short walk up a hill then down another hill. You can't miss it.. Very secluded and calm waters. There was a tour group there and once they left (about 50 people) it was nice. If you decide to go to Honeymoon Beach I would find a taxi driver that understands where you want to go. Seems as though the taxi drivers take you where there friends work just so they get business...

“One of St. Thomas nicest beaches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Honeymoon Beach is a short (7 minute) $19 ferry ride from Crown Bay Marina, but well worth it. The beach has tiki huts and many palm trees for shade. There are 2 island beach bars for food and adult beverages. You can rent bikes or golf carts and the views are spectacular

If visiting St Thomas or a resident take a day and visit Honeymoon Beach. It is easier to get to than
St. John beaches and just as nice. On Saturday's, there is a beach barbecue, which we will be trying

“Long and pricey trip”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

Dropped off on a sail from St Thomas. Crowded with other tours. Below average viewing underwater. Better snorkeling at Sapphire or Secret Beaches on St Thomas. Primitive amenities and the donkeys are not necessarily tame and certainly not potty trained. Enjoyed the sailing but hope there are less overworked beaches in this national park.

“Gorgeous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is such a great spot. Mostly isolated (except when the cruise tours drop off 100 people for an hour). There's no chair rental, no sun umbrellas. Very rustic. Food was very american, so don't expect to eat a red snapper on the beach. Booze was cheap. The people were super friendly. Incredibly beautiful waters and view.
