The best part about this restaurant were the two cute cats that sat by our table. The service was average at best, with the waiters never remembering who ordered what. They were friendly though, just not first class waiters suited for what is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in St. Thomas. The food was just not that good. It was average. It reminded me of LA restaurants, the food was a little blend, with some spices on top, but in its entirety the food lacked an infusion of flavor as you would normally expect from superb dishes. It was nothing to write home about, and certainly not a restaurant I would go to again. In fact, we had plans to go there for breakfast the next morning, but thought it was best to skip that idea after such a "blah" dinner experience. We have to say, we knew that some reviewers had mentioned it was not that great, and we felt that maybe they were just not foodies and could not tell a good restaurant from an average one. We thought maybe they just were complaining of the cost, and we felt that great food and excellent dining experience are priceless, so we had to try to see. Besides, how could a restaurant at the Ritz Carlton be average? Well, it was. Plain and simple. We could have done without it. But we should have known better because when we called to make our reservation we had a hard time when the hostess on the phone took a while to realize she was looking at the wrong year in her calendar, and she kept insisting the day of the month we wanted to come was a different day of the week than we were saying it was. While we were there we were outside, with no umbrella at oru table, and when it started raining the waiters just starred at each other not knowing what to do - and ended up not doing anything. The people on the table next to ours were obnoxiously loud and their conversation was slightly inappropriate/offensive. So it was just not that great an experience. I would say try another restaurant. We much preferred Havana Blue or better yet Old Stone Farm House. Go to those.
