What's not to like about jetskiing in the Caribbean? You can't go wrong unless you had really crummy service. That was NOT the case with West End Watersports. Brian, the owner, took exceptional care of me and my family. There were four of us, including my 5 and 10 year old daughters. He showed us how to drive the skis, where we could and could not go and did this with a smile and a quick pace (I'm sure he knew we wanted on the water!). We had the hour ride (we purchased with a package with the ATV company) and the girls loved every minute of it. We weren't brave enough to jump the waves or anything but I did get up to 50 mph on the water! His jetskis really move!!
He is located right next to Rhythms at Rainbow Beach and offers chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, floaties, etc. to rent. You really don't have to leave the entire day with the restaurant/bar right there. We were staying on island just 2 miles down the road and still didn't leave for the day. It was really relaxing (except for the restaurant but that doesn't have anything to do with Bryan). The prices are very reasonable ($60 for 1/2 hour, $100 for 1 hour) and his crew are super fast to set up your chairs and umbrellas.
This is a great excursion for all ages and we would definitely go back. The quality of his equipment, his professionalism and his customer service all point to a man that is dedicated to growing a successful business!
Words of advice: Bring sunscreen and wear sunglasses (maybe even a rash guard) out on the water (the waves splash a lot). You can pack a lunch but Rhythms is also right there. A book, frisbee, whatever, is fun on this beach. Stay and relax, they'll take care of you.
