“Highlight was the live music...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2015 NEW via mobile

Unfortunately a lot of the reviews about the service seem to be true. We were one of the first tables to arrive and seemed to get our food before everyone else - which wasn't saying much. Other tables waited 30+ minutes - and for a very, very simple menu. Fish and chips were just ok but nothing fantastic. Burger and onion rings were decent.

They had already run out of one of their beers (st johns summer ale) @ ten minutes after the opened - after being closed for their two days. Seems to be some genuine struggles to get things back in order. If we went back, would probably just sit at the bar for drinks.

“Great food with a great view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2015 NEW

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of both the food and the view, given we pulled in to the restaurant on a whim for lunch. I had the fish of the day (mahi) with fresh zucchini fries and it was a fantastic meal. The wait staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable. Wish I could have returned during our stay.

“Not impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2015 NEW

We had heard so many people say this was the place to go. We ate here on our last night. Not impressed. We had reservations. We did get a nice table over looking the beach. My husband and I ordered the special, scallops. The were barely warm. There were good but would have been much better hot. I had been craving them. Our potatoes were cold. I don't remember what our daughter and son-in-law ordered but do remember them saying that it was just ok. On the plus side the peanut butter cup dessert is awesome. While we were at the beach during the week, the drinks were great.

“Sunsets at cane bay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2015 NEW

The new ownership hasn't impacted the quality of the food and well, the service is on "island time" so not terrible if you arrive early before the rush. If you wait to order, you'll regret it. Because the kitchen backs up. They're trying hard, and kind of succeeding. Really bright spot is when Marisol and the drunk in dumplings are there one thing is for sure...the music is top notch!

“Build your own burger!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2015 NEW

For some island folks, these guys really know how to do a burger well. It was our first meal in St. Croix, and we were just looking for something close to the villa in Cane Bay. The burgers were so good we had to bring our friends back later in the week. And the second experience was just as good as the first.

Fresh ingredients in great variety, friendly and fast service, and live music. Go for the food; stay for drinks and the singalong afterward.
