“Good not great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2014 NEW

The Good
We ordered two different types of food shots, duck and seafood salad both were good. Main course was, build your own salad, fish and chips, and the cane bay Rachel sandwich, all were good. Service was also attentive start to finish.
The not so good.
The entree selection besides the regular menu items, sandwiches, salad, burgers was essentially two items flank steak or lobster with the third item being flank steak and lobster so I guess you could this restaurant simplicity.
Second, we received our food shot appetizer,s were served and within three minutes our main course, so timing was poor.
Can't give three and a half stars so gave four since the good outweighed the not so good.

“Where is the fish? Isn't this the islands??/”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2014 NEW

The owner and hostess was lovely but all I can say is why cant I get seafood in St Croix? This place was out of fish and chips (again) and they only other items were muscles flown in from the states! I had the duck chili which was hearty and unique. My adult sons had burgers (the rolls were not soft and the fries not crispy and both medium rare burgers came to us well done). My daughter had fries and calamari and it was a small portion and all frozen. When we left we saw the huge frozen bags of fries on the kitchen floor. But the issue - why not offer fish tacos, seafood chowder, shark bites or conch fitters or just ANYTHING seafood or pretending to be to give the island spirit to us travelers for the hefty process of $15 per entrée or more? This place (excluding the views) could be placed in any strip mall and for that I was not happy...but if that's what you want go for it I will say the salads seemed fun and fresh - but again we wish there was a local flair -after all we are all on vacation aren't we and the menu was 90% burger joint food, but no wings mind you!

“Friendliest restaurant on St. Croix”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2014 NEW

We fell into "Eat" because we were camping at Cane Bay Campground just steps away. The food was good (loved the salads especially). What made it great was how very nice everyone was. We ate there several times, they acted like we were old regulars and made us feel at home every time.

Fun atmosphere, love the food shots! Close to the Renaissance so it was very convenient for us to get to.

“Great local place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2014 NEW

Perfect breezy terrace meal. Friendly staff, good music. We got there early and they were already out of fish and chips. That tells you two things: it's a popular place, and the food is fresh (it sure tasted that way). What more could you want?
