My wife and I chose Cottages by the Sea for our honeymoon and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was incredibly nice and very accomodating, the property is beautiful and you won't find a better beach on St. Croix (trust me, we drove around the entire island looking). We stayed in the Coconut cottage - perfect view of the Caribbean Sea from the bed! During the middle of the week it feels like you have your own private beach. Also, no sea grass and amazing snorkeling! Highly recommended! We plan on going back!!

Had nothing but an incredible time at Cottages. The accomodations are quaint and comfortable, the views unbelievable, the staff friendly, courteous and knowledgable, rates are great, and the beach is the best!

If you're looking for a resort-like atmosphere with shopping, glitz and ritz, this is NOT the place for you. However, if you like to relax, take a leisurely swim , stroll a white-sand beach, experience incredible snokeling right outside your door, meet interesting and like-minded people, and enjoy getting away from the busy "real" world, this is the place for you. No restaurant on site, but fantastic beachside dining immediately next door at Sandcastles on the Beach. Have had resort experiences in Hawaii and Mexico and definitely find Cottages to be the least pretentious and most island-oriented. We are so happy to have discovered Cottages, and we are actively planning our next getaway . Thank you Paul( and all the Benedicts!) and Staff for making our vacation one to remember!

What can I say? Cottages was the absolutely perfect place to go for a relaxing vacation. We stayed in Coconut and the room was homey, inviting and very clean and the views from our patio were breathtaking. There was a small mixup with our reservation when we arrived on Aug. 19th but Cottages was exceptionally gracious and took care of it and made sure we got settled in with a bottle of rum and some Cokes. :) The beach was awesome and swimming was very relaxing and fun. I would definitely come back again and again. Thanks to Tom, Paul, Betsey and Michelle for making our vacation truly wonderful. I can't wait to come back.

If you love clean, clear water, and wonderful, gracious hosts, then Cottages by the Sea is for you. Located right on the Caribbean Sea, we literally walked out our door, onto the beach and into the Sea for some great swimming and snorkeling. The Cottages are clean and well maintained, and the staff are very accommodating.
