We arrived on Monday night and since we were staying next door, decided to eat dinner at the beach side cafe...they were about to close so we were pretty much the only customers. The food was awesome as well as the service. (Robert and Bruno waited on us and were great!) we rebooked for Saturday night. We were so thrilled with the food we looked forward to our meal all week.
Got there and there was a gigantic table full of a big party. We got our food, mine was cold and tasteless. The wine was bad as well. (The 45 dollar bottle of wine had a screw off cap!) I sent my fish back -it was cold and not cooked, and the second time was just as bad. We were also looking forward to the live music, but the jazz singer sounded like an opera singer, so the music was bad as well.
Service-we were definitely not the priority. The big table was obviously taking every waiter they had. So when I asked them to take my mahi back and cook it more, the waitress instead went and served drinks to another table.
Dessert, we asked for a dessert menu, -2 times. so our waitress instead tried to"remember" I remembered a little of the desserts in the original menu so I had to sort of "guide" her. We never saw a dessert menu. Afterward we tried to pay with the same credit card we used on Monday, and they said they "did not accept " that kind of card. Yikes.
So 200 dollars later, bad music, bad food, bad service and bad wine. Waste of time and money. My husband was very mad that we were out so much for a pretty bad experience.
It is a beautiful location and Bruno got us a table right by the water. We should have just brought sandwiches and our own wine and the experience would have been better.
If you go avoid the busy times and only accept Robert and Bruno as waiters. We probably would only come back if they were not busy. It is too bad since the food and service were so good just a few days prior.
