“Interesting enough for a 10 minute stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

There's not much to the scale house. It's one room in a 18th century era building, with the scales that were used to weigh cargo being shipped out of St. Croix, and information on the walls regarding the history of the scales/building and also a bit oddly, the genealogy of Alexander Hamilton, who was from St. Croix. It makes a nice quick stop if you're a history buff.

“Very Neat”

Seemed to be open only now and then, but very cool and had some great info about the area and what went through there.

“Interesting”

It's a quick stop and easy at this location to get a great understanding of the layout of the island during the height of the plantation years. Allow 15 minutes to enjoy this interesting place.

“Small but a good building to check out.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

Sort of a building on the fort tour. I didn't think of it as different than the fort myself. I was staying at King Christian so it seemed almost right on the property of the hotel.

“It is a scale.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014 via mobile

This is sort of like visiting the real Plymouth Rock. It really isn't much to see, but is interesting if you are walking by. It contributes to understanding the history of the island, but I don't think you will be impressed.
