Our second time visiting this restaurant, the first was a whim as we were walking downtown and stumbled upon it. We dressed up the next night, deciding to go there for dinner. We were lucky enough to be taken in as we didn't have reservations (this place isn't very big and has a stellar reputation, fyi).
We were told there were seats only at the bar. Perfect for me and my wife as we love to sit at the bar and speak to the staff and such. Bonus here as well as Gregory was there. Both he and Arthur run the place and they absolutely know that the devil is in the details. And they take care of all of them.
The food is simply fantastic. We live in Metro DC and have, literally, hundreds of Asian restaurants to choose from. And we visit lots of them- Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Sushi, Korean BBQ, etc, etc, etc. This place can hold it's own with the very, very best of them.
The food is very good...no, better than that- it's meticulously prepared, amazingly fresh, and excites the tastes buds. We actually were craving this food as we landed-seriously. The design and decor is simply nothing anyone would expect to find in the Caribbean, and the service is impeccable. Lastly, it's very, very clean.
When we came back recently this past November, our first piece of business after booking hotel and air was to make a reservation for the bar (only five seats mind you). Gregory made certain, again, that our party had a memorable experience (our adult teenagers came along this time around since we bragged on and on about the place). The drinks are cold, fresh, and full (Gregory pours a very healthy belt of 12 year old Scotch and for that I am grateful!) and food is deliciously prepared.
It's just a simply fantastic restaurant experience and has my highest recommendation. These gentlemen know how to run a business.
