We took a drive over to Christiansted and this Fort was the highlight of the trip. It is beautifully restored and has some really great views its like stepping back in time.
The park district is in the process of renovating this old fort. It is quite a sight to see. Only three dollars for an on the spot lesson in history. The park personel is very helpful and your pass is good for 3 days!!!
Located in Christiansted at the waterfront.
It's not a very big place so you cannot spend the whole day there. But you hav to visit it because it's very nice. I will recommend to combine you trip with a picnic on the lawn.
I took my kids to see the fort. It is a very short excursion. 1/2 hour max. It is interesting, especially for the kids to see the dungeon and how people lived in the old days defending the port.. If you are in Christiansted then by all means visit it. But I would not tailor a whole day around it.
