“$3 an adult, free for kids!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

This was cooler than we expected it to be. Lovely, self-guided tour of the place, with pretty views looking out of all of the windows. Go check it out.

“Worth a quick look if you are there.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014 via mobile

We stopped at the fort and explored a bit since it was free and convenient to park in the lot for the boardwalk during the day. With kids, I recommend Christiansted in the morning when it is less busy. No one was around so we just went in. Not worth planning around with so many other things to do in Saint Croix, but everyone did enjoy it.

“Great old restored fort!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

A US National Park, the Fort is very nice, and is mostly restored. Easily accessible to walk all around. Well worth the three dollar admission. There is a map guided self tour that is given to you as you enter. You could spend as little as an hour and or up to several hours, depending on how long you want to explore. After the fort, there are several nice little cafe/bars within walking distance along the waterfront, with free wi-fi. I also went on a Sunday, and most shops are closed on Sundays here, so the fort was a good choice.

“Great historical building”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Loved seeing all of the old cannons & balls fired out into the bay. Almost could feel the battles as they defended the town of Christiansted.

“Nice bit of history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

Jewel Of The Seas docked in Frederiksted on 1/20/14 and we decided to take a shuttle to Christiansted for $16 RT. It was MLK day and the fort was open and free that day. I did get my National Park Senior Pass there as I had just hit the qualifying age. We used the self tour binder and spent over an hour just wandering and taking pictures. Beware the low ceilings in the dungeon, I clocked myself pretty good on the head because I forgot where we were. It's a well preserved piece of history.
