“Historical view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

The old fort is both beautifully maintained to its original construction and fun to wander around in. The dungeon was really cool and our voices made bellowing echoes. A fantastic location for vacation photography!

“Such a cool piece of history painstakingly preserved”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

One of the coolest places on the island. We visited the fort numerous times. Loved the location, the attention to detail in the preservation and the ability tour on your own. We took many visitors there while living on the island.

“The Fort in Christiansted”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

We enjoyed the self-guided tour through the Fort. My granddaughter was the self-appointed reader, and she liked finding the exact subject of each topic. We were able to take our time reading posted descriptions and taking photos. The second-floor museum with recovered artifacts and ecological information and specimens is also interesting

“Check it out while you are there”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

This is a main town in St Croix. I went on a Sunday which was a mellow day as most things are closed. The town is very walkable with several shops, water sports opportunities, restaurants, and the historic buildings/fort. You can pay $3 adults to get in the Fort but I didn't. I walked around and took pictures of all the historic yellow buildings there. There is a boardwalk to stroll. We lucked out saw a ferry that goes out to "Hotel on the Cay" and "Harbormasters" restaurant on an island. Awesome! This is a must. Take the ferry over for $5 roundtrip and bring some snorkeling gear. I saw baby stingrays, some fish and actually got stung by a sea urchin but it was all worth it!

“We were the only people there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

A lot of history and great views. A must see if you go to St. Croix. You can also park in the parking lot next to the fort for free until 4:30 p.m. so you can explore the rest of Christiansted.
