As others have noted, this resort is nice but not 5-star. It is part of a complex owned by a couple of investors who lease space for the hotel, bar and restaurant, marina, and an upscale nearby restaurant. Although the bed was not the best for my back, the room had nice accommodations, including kitchenette with small refrigerator and stove. The window air conditioning unit was noisy. The patio looks over the water and is very pleasant (see pictures). Be aware that the only swimming access is near the little shack that supplies beach stuff. BTW, lots of beach stuff comes without charge for hotel guests. The people who staffed the shack were very helpful. They provided guidance about where to get into the water to avoid rocks and sea urchins. On the two days that we snorkeled there, the water was very murky, so the promised turtles and sea life were not to be viewed. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant swim.
The bar had friendly staff, and the food was surprisingly good at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a taxi ride to Christiansted unless you rent a car. Overall, we found this to be a relaxing and friendly place.
