“A Must See!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Fabulous views and interesting information about the Millenium Monument. Glad we stopped. Too bad some people like to deface public property ( some of the monument has grafitti, very sad).

“Beautiful view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

This eastern most point of the US is a very peaceful, serene location. The views are incredible. It seemed so quiet on top of the hill surrounded by soaring gulls and endless waves. We were the only two there until we were joined by a very fit jogger who ran up the hills to get to her final destination. I only wish we had hiked down to the beach.

“Sweeping Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

It's a must to drive out to the point - the easternmost point of the United States. There's an almost 360 degree view of the sea and it feels like you could be 200 years back in time. Beautiful and primal.

“A great view, and worth the effort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

The road to get out to Point Udall is twisty, and care needs to be taken if you do this after dark. It is worth the drive getting out there, because no street lights means no light pollution. This is the eastern-most point of the United States, and you can stand on the point with an unobstructed view. The Millennium Monument dominates the area, and provides some nice photo opportunities. Slightly behind the area is a hiking trail to the south, and Split Cove a short distance back (both of which are worth checking out). Going out on a clear day when you can see the best distance, or even being there for a sunrise are good recommendations.

The last time I was here (August 2012), the lettering had been removed from the wall in front of the Monument, so I was glad to see that it had been replaced.
